Switching juries is not essential - you can remain in your current chosen country/region but if you want to switch the jury, you can do it once you have taken part 3 editions in one jury.

YOU CAN NOW MOVE FOR WV188 & 189
any moves made for later editions will not count

Look, @Grinch, I admit that I had mixed feelings when you took over Pacific States. I don't know what plans you had for the other four states, but I knew that you would deliver some interesting and exciting songs. Tool was a cool choice, so I was excited when their song was played during the live listening session.

Before I continue talking about Tool, let's talk about the latest representatives for Central Canada. The Beaches are this year's winners of the Juno Award for Group of the Year. They are the Canadian champions who have gotten a lot of radio airplay on Canada's rock radio stations and have been slowly catching on in the US, with sold-out shows on my side of the border. Nevertheless, they did rather poorly in WV 186 SF1, finishing in the bottom five in both the regular and the REJU votes. (Regular: 21st with 36 points, REJU: 19th with 13 points.)

On the other hand, Tool did relatively well in WV 186 SF 2. They finished 13th with 54 points in the regular vote and 9th in the REJU vote with 34 points. Tool did a lot better than the Beaches in both votes.

Despite the Beaches' relatively poor performance in WV, I am not going to give up sending female-fronted rock bands to the contest. I still believe that such bands can do well in the contest with the right songs. I hope that you won't give up participating in WV just because one of the best hard rock bands in the US fell short of qualification. I'm sure that there are other songs that you think might do well.

I hope that you will return to WV as soon as possible.

can somebody approve my switch to Turkmenistan so I will peacefully enjoy the rest of this edition knowing that my random switch was accepted

According to my understanding of the rules, you cannot switch for WV 188 until after the results for WV 186 have been revealed; therefore, the mods pushed your switch forward by one edition.

Yeah but like, that doesn't make sense since it mentions that you can switch from WV186, while it currently is unfolding... right? Idk it confuses me.
