Ok! Maybe the polish song is not something to appeal to the juries, but what about :am:? They did really well with the juries except for the country in wich they had the highest Diaspora, :be:, where they where place 25th by the jury.....

I hope EBU will investigate this. Though everything is quite obvious.

No, they weren't politically voting in the case of Poland.

Why Germany placed Denmark all at the 1 spot for instance is really beyond me and I suspect something political might have been going on there though, for instance.

It was very blatant what they did to Poland, they wanted to prove some point against the "diaspora" of "that Eastern country"... their voting was unprofessional, cynical and calculated. Had nothing to do with the performance or music. Even haters must realize that it's odd when an entry wins televoting but are put dead last by juries in a preventive way.

A-lister In my opinion the polish song was just messy and deserved a low place. The juries put it there. Just because you like the song doesn't mean everyone has to...

Just because you hate it doesn't mean the juries intentions were right... so what's your point here? That because you disliked the song the juries' intentions were all noble and correct? That's as equally "logical"

I don't understand either why Romanian jury placed Denmark on 1st place. So it wasn't only Germany.

I never said they were right to put Poland as low as they did. It should have been higher than someone of the other songs in the final. You sound as if Poland should have come top 5 at least with every jury member

Well, if it was up to me they should have won the jury votes

But putting my personal taste aside, no maybe not top. 5... but atleast not blatantly put in the bottom to make a point.

Can anybody who hate Polish entry answer to this becuase there is one thing I don't understand:
Was is only diaspora voting for Poland? I mean, I know there are a lot of Poles in the Uk/Ireland but are they in majority of all the nations in those countires include natives? Pole emmigrates and work hard to afford a decent living in different country, does he/she have a lot of money to waste on sending votes? IMO, it must have been also non-polish people who voted or at least the majority of the all votes from UK were those sent by Poles. It must have been were few people voting in the Uk/Ireland/Norway/other countires Poland got 12s and 10s from.

Please tell me what you think about this.

At lot of people here in the UK probably voted for boobs and boobs only. Don't anyone say that they voted for the song because it was 'ironic' and 'making fun of a stereotype' because most people here in the UK don't speak Polish so most likely won't have got the message

Poland didn't even come last in the jury. What point was being made to France, Slovenia and San Marino?

So, you honestly think no one can like the entry? Most people I watched it with liked it, and they don't understand any Polish xshrug

Positions of Poland as given by the jury:

Germany - 4
Italy - 6
Montenegro - 7
Belarus - 8
Ukraine - 8
Slovenia - 10
Armenia - 11
Azerbaijan - 11
F.Y.R. Macedonia - 12
Moldova - 12
France - 15
Hungary - 15
Spain - 15
Greece - 17
Sweden - 17
Denmark - 18
Israel - 18
Malta - 18
Switzerland - 18
Norway - 19
Albania - 22
Iceland - 23
Portugal - 23
Romania - 23
San Marino - 23
Austria - 24
Latvia - 24
Lithuania - 24
Russia - 24
Finland - 24
Netherlands - 25
UK - 25
Belgium - 26
Estonia - 26
Ireland - 26

The average here is 17,7, the median 18. Pretty much the thing that seems most out of the ordinary are the Germans. Also note that many eastern countries rate it very very low. So I don't see evidence of political voting. It's pretty much what you could expect from juries when it comes to this song I think.

I said a lot, not all. Some people probably enjoyed the entry. But my guess is an equal amount of people (if not more) fully enjoyed songs like Ukraine and Hungary but they didn't top the televote

So they did vote for Poland. I just don't like the thinking that it was only Polish people around the Europe that voted for their country. Is Poland as big a country as Russia to have that many people?

I only glanced at this, and I already know part of it is wrong. Armenian jury placed us at 11. I'm not going to double check the rest (even if the data is correct), you do that and report back.

So you like jury political voting then as long as it fits your taste? How noble of you...

LOL what on earth. I happen to think Portugal was an awesome song that didn't get it's justice, and I also said I'd prefer to go back to 2009-2012 style of voting. However if you are going to sit there and complain that it's ruined the contest to the point you don't want to watch it; then don't bother watching it.

Ah yea, I misread it for Armenia, no foul intent though. Double checked a couple of others and those were correct, though there could always be another mistake in it of course. I updated the post to correct that mistake.

Question: If jury gave equal total points to two countries, how could they decided their rankings?

An example: Juries from Z country placed X country to 6,3,4,2,5 places, and Y country to 7,1,1,9,2 places. Which one has the higher jury rank, and why?

Sure, I don't mean to nitpick : )
It's true that the polish song was rated rather poorly by the judges.
