The fanwank of the year. Will bomb like France 2011

xpray

We who hate it really need it, whether we believe it or not.

I can see hordes of moms and grandmoms and even those few great grandmoms who still manage falling for it, along with their teenage female descendents who will be screaming their pimples out of their faces in sheer hysteria. Add to that a good number of creepy men and ramdom people here and there who don't know any better and you've got an unbeatable army.

Oh yes, be afraid, be very afraid because this is getting scary

Don't worry, Australia will win the whole thing and Germany will organize the contest (actually the only way they have this year to organize it and for this reason german users are starting to love and cheer for Guy Sebastian!).

Naaah, I'm pretty sure Australia won't make it. Radio friendly songs do get into the top 10 more often than not but they never win eurovision.

Never say never in the Eurovision (not a simply song contest according to me, unfortunately). Last year, looking back to Verka Serducha, DQ and Sestre we could say "Drag queen never win Eurovision" but then...

Australia this year is not just an entry, it's something more, fresh and new for the viewers. I hope I'm wrong, as italian, although I like very much Tonight again! (I'm honest, I'll be very glad if Eurovision will be in Germany again, 'cause I fly often there so it would be easy for me to watch the contest live for the second year in a row).

With all respect i cant agree at all.Did you watch this years Sanremo?.Do you know the other artists?.Malika Ayane?,Annalisa?,Chiara?,all world class.Id rate this years Sanremo the strongest and most contemporary in 20 years.Conti was told to make the festival relevant to the younger people again and he delivered. Il Volo slaughtered the televote (and won the poll vote), getting a huge percentage when up against really popular (and talented) artists. That is no fluke.

Before Sanremo they werent even very well known in Italy. They were more popular in North/South America etc.Italian music has been getting stronger and stronger the last few years and Sanremo proved it.Id rate the top 5 higher quality than this ESC field.Il Volo for me are massive favourites to win ESC.

Yes, you're right. In the end it's the act that counts and as of yet, we don't know Australia's full package... But I don't really think they want to win, do you? I'm sure they would be glad to be 2nd, say, and that might be their aim.

Why not? Everybody wants to win, they can win at first attempt and then let Germany organize the next year... honestly I think they are more motivated then SVT and RAI (for different reasons) this year

Cheap? Oh, but darling, it is a true masterpiece. It's simple but conveys a deep meaning, and the music video is just sheer perfection. xcheer1

Yes. CHEAP. Like the biggest part of the duets this year. Only Slovenia save the honour xheart

Satellite was radio friendly? In that strongly accented English? Not really... ;)

That was easily one of the most radio friendly accessible songs of the past year. My brothers, who are not eurovision fans (casual viewers) stayed the whole night humming to the song after Germany's performance and asked me immediately to download the song. They all still have the song in their cars :D

I always thought "Satellite" was following the retro wave started by Amy and then continued by Adele. Maybe the song wasn't the same as those to be exact but I think it was following that vibe. A more in your face example would be "Hold on Be Strong" (Norway 2008) but I think "Satellite" could easily fit in there as well xshrug

Krishoes Yes, I know dear friend, but I am too perfectionist and very critical of myself, maybe I should be more indulgent xD
Bradamante Grazie! Ok, se ho qualche dubbio ti chiederò, saluti! :)

Really? How 36 people have dared to vote this song with the lowest score?
I just realized right now, That's unforgivable guys, unless you're deaf.
Last week I said this was my favourite song and I keep saying that this year Italy is going to win the contest!

Satellite is undoubtfully uneurovision-y, of course it is. That doesn't mean it is radio friendly in the way Australia's song is.

It doesn't mean anything. People are too passionate and they bestow 0 points and 12 points around way too easily as if there was nothing in between. I never bother to vote there bacause of that.
