I had the opportunity to be in Sanremo at the Festival's Week. It's not the same thing I KNOW but their organisation impressed me quite a lot, mostly because my personal idea about it wasn't the best :lol: if RAI puts the same effort as in Sanremo, I don't have any doubt that will surprise a lot of people :)

You all have a strange stereotypical idea of Italy, turn up the ass from the chair as Catia and see that will change your mind!
No tv in the world produces a show live for 5 nights following that last four hours, as the Sanremo Festival! nobody even in America!
Sanremo and 'a complex organization, and not imagine how' difficult each year to organize it, choose the singers, the right songs, the international guests etc ...the scenery, the organization of security etc .. this year attended more than 1,600 journalists from around the world in two press rooms!
The eurovision does is collect singers already selected and show them! stop

this is sanremo! class quality and what is lacking in the Eurovision!

Nobody is saying Italians are lazy or something. It's just that the last time RAI hosted the Eurovision they did a terrible job. 25 years have passed though and I'm sure whenever they win again they'll do a great job.

Eurovision can feel quite different depending on the host nation and Italy is socially much more conservative than Sweden, for example.

I believe that the main aim for an hosting broadcaster is to provide an excellent and entertaining music show, that's it ;)

I'm also surprised that we had not one but two songs that weren't in English in our top 10. Usually we like to hear "is it weird that your ass reminds me of a Kanye West song?" or "you know what to do with that big fat butt…wiggle wiggle wiggle" or "baby you a song, you make me want to roll my windows down and cruise" or "so la da di da di we like to parTY dancing with molLY" in English.

The top 3 actually make perfect sense for the U.S.

We still hear some Avicii/Guetta on the radio, Uptown Funk is close to breaking chart record for most weeks at #1 and Josh Groban/Andrea Bocelli are pretty popular with the adult crowd as well. Not to mention Sanremo grande amore was top 10 on the classical charts and Il Volo had a very successful U.S. tour last year.

The others are pretty in vogue with certain parts of the population as well. The only one that's kind of a mystery is Electro Velvet but I guess people just thought it was fun :lol:

Now the italian line-up for the Eurovision 2015 is finally completed:

- Filippo Solibello and Marco Ardemagni will comment the semifinals on Rai 4 and Rai Radio 2 and the final on Rai Radio 2;
- Federico Russo and Valentina Correani will comment the final on Rai 2;
- Federico Russo will be our spokesperson.

Wow! We have double commentary for the final to choose from. Such a luxury! :cool:

I'm so happy that our broadcaster RAI finally got it seriously about Eurovision! This is a fully-committed TV on it!!! Great job!!!!!

The guys are in Madrid for the Etihad Airlines Madrid launch and apparently they sang Grande amore :eek: Unfortunately all we got is a 15 second clip :(
