Well, maybe the fact last year Austria won will stop this one win, cause compositions are quite similar..I hope they will go for smth different this time..

OMg they have just informed about Conchita taking part in Copenhagen in our news on RTS! :D

I hope this awful attention seeker will come last in the semi..

Let's see if RAI will change the song after realizing that keeping Grande Amore may take the risk of winning the contest and having to hold ESC next year, which RAI may not want to see, as they even don't want to hold an edition of JESC.

They can also win, and deny host the event. :)

Italian song is excellent! But this song has a little touch of morbid and gloomy sound and soul ... and just this reason it can not support the masses from the Atlantic to the Urals. The song is pure art, but a little bit of a sterile ... Let's remember the French song that was a mix of pop and classical music and is very poorly done.
My opinion is that this song goes certainly in the top 10, or top of the table. But there is no winning character of these songs.

With all the economic incomes from a "major" Eurovision, Rai wont refuse to host. In Italy we have big multinationals (Ferrero-Nutella, Alitalia-Etihad, FCA cars, etc.) ready to invest in big events.

If you think that this year's Festival of Sanremo cost 15,5 million Euros, gathering from sponsors and advertisements revenues of about 21 million Euros. 6 Million profit!

Maybe we should rather start debating whether it will be Roma or Milano?

It will be neither Roma, nor Milano. It will be Tallinn, and Tallinn is Estonia's capital. Seriously, "Grande amore" is a Top 10 material for sure, but not a winning one.

You foreigners :-) have a strange idea of Italy, even if we are in crisis we are an economic power!
The economy of Italy and of 2.149 billion dollars, Austria of 428 billion dollars, we can still afford to organize two events!

ps :
The Sanremo this year and also cost less!
The last edition is have cost 21 million Euros!

If RAI allows a potential winner to take part in ESC, that means they're ready to host the event. It looks tailor-made

I just wonder how they're going to make this 3 minutes.... there's really no part that can be removed, will they just speed the whole thing up? :)

Good question, will it be Alpine Italy or Peninsulan Italy? I'm all in for a more summerly look and feel of Eurovision, so let's go South next year (Rome, Naples). After so much North and Alpine Austria we deserve something Southernly to tribute Europe's diversity.
