Il Volo won but the song doesn't have to be "Grande Amore". Remember 2012 when Nina Zilli joined San Remo with Per Sempre but she represented Italy with L'Amore é Femmina.

she was 6th place in San Remo, no? So San Remo that year had nothing actually with ESC xshrug

This song is masterpiece (imo) and I loved it from first listening on San Remo (that rarely happen), it has all what I love in songs - clear powerful chorus (which stuck in head), culmination - but that's to original version, I tried to imagine this song without intro and 2nd verse, and so far not really impressed - really song without intro at all? xcrazy

Its so quality and well composed because it was written for San Remo, i am afraid to imagine if it was written for ESC directly - another dull france-11?

However, Eurovision.TV still hasn't updated the informations about Italian's participation.
Eurovision Song Contest 2015 Grand Final | Year page | Eurovision Song Contest

Roll the page till the end. I am waiting for Eurovision.TV to confirm Grande Amore to be sure.

I know, i don't try to say you it confirmed, this year San Remo also wasn't NF for ESC in any place, winner has right to represent Italy in Eurovision, but nothing said about with what song and ofc they mustn't.

xslapDONT you remind me of that again... I am not over that yet. The most tragic happening in the modern history of the ESC.... xcry1

I hope they send Nina Zilli. I will always love that Italian Amy Winehouse. I've heard though that Il Volo already accepted.

Quality songs deserve good things, y'all. Not exactly my cup of tea with all that dramatic opera-ness, which is a bit icky to me. But they get plus points from me for fantastic music, enchantic verses, amazing voices, yummy looks (xheatxheat), ambition, and for the best language in the world (which I can actually understand a bit of, because I'm learning it). So.. Good job Italy and thank you for these guys!!! xbow

Why do we agree on everything?;) (I con't care about the looks of the guys though, but I can understand if thats what you're into XD).

This is one of the first quality songs so far, even though I'm usually not a fan of these type of songs. But :it: always delivers for me, they also have a kind of unfair advantage with me because of their language, which makes this from an OK song to a great epic song which has a lot more emotion to it. Great job Italy!

I'm still doubting to put it on number 1 or 2 together with :is:. One made an ok song way stronger by keeping it in it's native language, the other made a great song weaker by translating it into english so I don't know yet :s

Unfortunately, she'd need the 8 acts that finished above her to all refuse the Vienna ticket which seems most unlikely:(

oh this

and you just remind me

1) how this song was cutted
2) how this was great
3) how MM was underrated
4) he didn't win and that was a disaster

xfacepalm

Denmark was better. Ukraine too!

I'm back here.

Now. I supported Nek 'till the very end of Sanremo, even televoting him.

But Il Volo won. And as an Italian, I'll now support their trip to Vienna, by both talking about it and a Facebook page (as I told when I approached ESCUnited, I made 3 of them before this, regarding Marco Mengoni and Emma Marrone for Eurovision, and Vincenzo Cantiello for Junior Eurovision).

By the way, Cantiello posted some photos with Il Volo. They're both coming from Ti lascio una canzone.

Nek a Il Volo: « Vedremo dove arriverete. Adesso sono c...i !»

If this is true, Nek lost all my respect xsnooty xsnooty xsnooty xsnooty xsnooty
May he has his reasons, BUT a singer with an important career like him SHOULD had another attitude.

Well, it might be Mr Neviani style - he basically says what many think but don't say. Something like "you still need to build up a solid career". It's true that they're already known in the States - but it's also true that they shall do one more step.
