the only bad parts of Netta's performance are when she sings:

Wonder woman, don’t you ever forget
You’re divine and he’s about to regret

don't know whether it's just me, but my ears bleed then

You're not the only one ;) form what I heard, her performance was good, not great. Just good.

I totally get what you mean... I feel the same way... She has a very disturbing voice...

This looks like the winner to me. Let’s see if Netta takes the trophy to Israel

Yep, my "safe" bet at this point is that :il: is winning this one. It's different, unique and catchy at the same time. And easily memorable as well (which is very important in this case). Unless the juries really mess this up, I don't think there are many songs that could beat this one.

12 points from me.

I can think of several - better message: France, Germany, better staging: Estonia, Cyprus, better performance: Hungary and so on an so forth. She is one of the best voices of the competition, but that song is too silly to send a motivating message;and I hope the judges will see through the smoke
curtain and novelties put forth for people who go by those kinds of gimmicks.

Apparently the UK press agrees with you and said that there is no entry that can beat Israel...

She is already now floping at the odds, there is no way she will win.

If that's what the British press says, Israel must really be dead now...
Did they also speculate that nobody can steal the UK's last place this year? xthink

The odds were unrealistic before as I knew from the beginning that the song would be hard to pull off live (despite my appreciation) and simultaneously maybe tad too silly for some juries.

Well they put Finland at TOP1 last year. Polls and odds don't mean shit.

This is still a semi. Israel will share the Top 3 place with Estonia and Cyprus. However, in the final it all depends on running order. Let‘s say if Israel open the show in the final it will unlikely win the contest etc. so bookies and all the polls will also change after the running order is settled. In any case, Im sure Israel will get its high position in the end

I saw a clip of her during the Jury Show. Not sure if it is from nerves, but she is so messy with her vocals. I heard at least 3-4 times she was off. Never too much, but still. Also it feels like moving around the stage leaves her breathless.

Will still qualify thanks to the fanwank, but at this point its hilarious that ISR still leads in odds.

So if Netta isn't using her looper on stage any more, will she revert to the original version of the song that appears on the album? As it sounded like the new intro was built to showcase her skills with the looper, and it won't be that evident any more. Shame really, but we'll see how it comes off with live vocalists (I suspect not quite as quirky or cool)

Agree, the looper was very much part of the package. Without it, the song may very well come across as silly and weird. I think she will fake using it on stage just to maike that point.

Well all vocals are supposed to be live aren't they, so they should have known from the start they'd have to perform all the vocal effects. Overrated song anyway.

I think it was regarded as an instrument and therefore not allowed (what a silly rule BTW). Otherwise, you could see it as a kind of live backing track, which again would be troublesome of course since you cannot have pre-recorded vocals (even if it was just recorded).

It's not silly when you consider that all the countries have to abide by it, not just Israel. I'm sure Hungary will love to play
their instruments on stage, Albania too and Mikolas to have his camel live and so on - every one else have to adapt to the rules.

At the beginning of the contest, only the singers and songs counted; little by little staging has been taking 1st place prominence.
