........the chicken sounds were on point
EBU said:No messages promoting any organization, institution, political cause or other, company, brand, products or services shall be allowed in the Shows and within any official ESC premises (i.e. at the venue, during the Opening Ceremony, the Eurovision village, the Press Centre, etc.). A breach of this rule may result in disqualification.
I'm still very concerned about this.
A performance like that has no hope of getting top 5 with the juries. And as Sergey showed in 2016, if you don't do well with the juries theb you have no hope even if you end up first with the public. There will always be a song which ends up top 3 with both.
Only deaf haters can't admit how great she was and how she rocked the stage in every possible way there is.
I just watched the performance and agree with those who say that it was bad or at least worse than expected. It lacked the energy that's needed for this song and felt way more out of place than I thought it would feel. Don't really think it's a song for the "big stage", if she performs it like this at ESC
Why "of course"? No matter the venue, artists should always give their best. Not talking about staging here (it's a given that it will be much more fancy in Lisbon) but about connecting with the people (who mainly came to see her) and "feeling" the song.I guess a lot of people had really unrealistic expectations, of course she's not gonna give 100% on this stage.
Bulgaria looks set to mop up and become a firm 2nd favourite once rehearsals begin.
Possibly, but I think visual presentation is going to be a big hurdle for them. Their vocals have seemed good so far, but it's going to be a big challenge to make their "common framework" of five singers look cohesive on stage.
This has nothing to do with all of the posts above, but it seems that is heading towards a smashing victory in Lisbon. I can't see Netta winning. On the one hand, her vocals are terribly weak and on the other hand, the more I listen to this entry, the more it seems like "Toy" is coming across blander and blander.
The fact that this is hard song to sing live is not really an excuse of being off tune 3-4 times in one song. She needed a lot of help from backing vocals to carry her. Lets see if she can improve her performance ... as of now, forget the stage performance she has a lot work to do with her vocals alone.
