Since so many have been pointing out that María is copying Emelie de Forrest shoe-less performance from 2013, here is a video of her performing shoe-less in 2012 (00:39) So who is copying who

Just kidding, but nonetheless, the reason for performing with no shoes on, is because she thinks it's really comfortable

Oh dear terrible vocals from Maria today, its ear splitting at times. Not even Hera Bjork on backing vocals is saving this. She has to improve big time tonight and tomorrow to stand any chance.

Sadly, as this is one of my favourites, it is one of the more disappointing performances in this semi-final and Maria’s vocals are pretty shoddy. Iceland’s first failure since Valentine Lost in 2007 seems to be an impending threat.

It's difficult to say really, the audio is not good on these videos and maybe we don't hear what they are hearing in the arena. Here is one, if you want to listen yourself

I am concerned though that her nerves will take over, and that it will affect her vocals, so everything can happen:? Hoping for the best

It's Eurovision...when is it ever game over? Did you even watch Semi 1? I thought it was 'game over' for half the qualifiers (especially that mess Albania).

Maria better slay Semi 2. She's got it all. Hate the pageant dress though.

I still really want Maria to do well, but it does seem like she's blown her chances with shoddy vocals... 'mediocre' vocals would be fine for this song, but if it's actually as poor as people are making out, it will just ruin her chances completely.
