I hated it too, but it was Rock/Metal and it won. Because one believes that such a genre doesn't appeal to mainstream, but AWS seems different since it actually does also connect with people who usually doesn't listen to this genre. So that gives me some kind of a hope. :p

Prediction: Runner-up!

If I had to name one act who most deserves to win it would be AWS, so talented and they always put 100% into their performances.

God, did the performance convince me! Hungary is now my personal favourite and winner of 2018! I don't even listen to the genre, but the energy and emotion and purpose they have on stage is undeniable... this year has been so unpredictable! I can't wait for the Grand Final tomorrow at 5am from Australia!

If Hungary wins, it would be a great opportunity to see Eurovision live again. So far, I was only in Vienna. I hope it is Sopron or Györ 2019.

Hungary winning - would be more than fantastic, but there is lttle hope, I guess. To many people, this is still "noise". :?

They already won, they were invited to perform at Wacken Open Air, a big metal music festival in Germany. They said it always was a dream for them, which seemed unreachable and now thanks to Eurovision it happened. :)

I read somewhere that Wacken keeps ist fingers crossed for AWS. :D But it's great that AWS will now have their chance to play there. A dream come true!

This was THE best performance on semi 2 by far :D They are one of my huge favorites tonight and I would be thrilled to see them do well.


They will certainly have my votes (again). There are more songs that I will vote for but they are surely one of those :mrgreen:

I think the reality for us somewhere between 11-15th. It could be a divisive song also among the jury members (a huge amount of top and bottom 5) and televoters too, they can love or hate that with passion either. 12 points will avoid us, but we can grab some minor points from voters, who like this genre, or like the guys/the song/the atmosphere/the energy/the passion. Top 10 would be a great achievement! :)

I think the Hungarian song stands out in the recap and I think this can win the televote because it can get the votes from all the metal lovers watching the show. You have a lot of songs that are catchy and give you a stage performance (Cyprus, Israel, Moldova...) and therefore the votes can be quite divided between them. But here the voters who like this kind of music (and even some who don't like but will be surprised to like something like this, like me) will vote only for this song. What I don't know is how the jury will react to this song.

I think the jury is quite devided. They would rather give their points to a more radio-friendly song. And AWS and radio-friendly ... well...:lol:

It would be extraordinary if all metal comunnity decided to join forces for support of AWS.

The escunited Team predicted the top ten in a vid and AWS was on the 6th place! :D
