The thing is that the artists of entehno music sometimes prefer to be away from tv events etc, some of them are a bit snobs and think that only their music values and everything else is crap, and it's difficult to accept to go to ESC. xshrug

Although there were some singers of this genre in NFs in the past (like Giorgos Karadimos in 2010).

What's "entehno music"? xshrug

In english means "artistic".

It is a genre of greek music, that is highly regarded as of good quality.

Some of "entehno's" representatives are Dimitra Galani, Haroula Alexiou, Yiannis Kotsiras, Alkistis Protopsalti (just to name a few) and many-many more.

I have no idea if that kind of greek music would appeal to esc audience.

P.S. Let's say it this way... Think about Vandi and Kokkinou...!!! Entehno is the exact opposite!!!!

Lets say that greek entries of 1976 & 1992 & 1995 are something similar to what we call entehno.

Yeah, I love 1992 and 1995 is very nice too. Not a big fan of 1976 because I don't like Mariza Koch's voice that much, but it had nice melody.

Elina Konstantopoulou, though, is far from being an entehno singer. She's got mainly cheap pop songs in her career, and she had that honor to sing parts on ESC stage in that "masterpiece" of Cyprus 2005! Her ESC 1995 entry was an exception!

It may not be among the very best in a very strong national final, but still I love it... The chorus line is both incredibly catchy and incredibly annoying ;) The rest of the song is pretty awesome though.. And I love the lead singer's voice!

Oh, and I love how the old man in the music video is stroking his moustache in such a creepy way while stalking the band xheart
