tuorem soooo the results of the second eurovision.de-Songcheck:

1. :ge: (8,9)
- strong song - "she scare's me a little bit" - interesting - dark/angry - a powerful song - way better then the other "Warrior" this year - a bit like "Game of Thrones"

2. :ro: (8,3)
- great message - very credible - perfect mixture of languages - mostly underrated - original - touching - well produced/professional

3. :au: (8,1)
- ear worm - cool - he has much better songs - ok but not great - great voice - one would like to dance - not a typical ESC-song - gonna get a lot of sympathy-points

4. :al: (7,5)
- the made a good choice with changing the song - amaaaaazing voice - hard to classify - recall values - dark horse - could get lost

5. :rs: (6)
- is better in Serbian - great message - sympathetic - they should not use her as a screen (her dress from the NF) - we have had better songs from Serbia in the past

6. :by: (5,6)
- ear-worm - great video but a bad live performance (too static) - great combination of instruments - even if you don't like it: it'S fun.

7. :ru: (5,2)
- great voice - seems plastic/fake - nice but tacky song - will reach the Top 10 because it's Russia - should not be booed (but will be most likely)

8. :hu: (4,5)
- great message - a bit boring - not bad - great artist - beautiful voices - goosebumps - authentic - "Ein bisschen Frieden" 2.0

9. :dk: (4,4)
- get's annoying - too plain - replaceable - too weak - not individual at all - wannabe retro

10. :fr: (4)
- nostalgic - boring - "doesn't reach me" - too old-fashioned - beautiful voice

In the end both "experts" said who (out of all 40 entries) they think is going to fight for the win. They named:
:se: :ee: :it: and :sl:

I agree with what they say about :fr: excluding the last comment  Otherwise, they didn't take any risk regarding the winner predictions.

You're welcome
Actually one of the experts had french roots and he said that he'd love to give it more points but he said that the song isn't as good as France once was.

And he's right. I mean I've never been a real patriot (especially in ESC), but what's the point of praising blindly your nation when the song is underwhelming? The same composer of "N'oubliez Pas" wrote "Je N'ai Que Mon Âme" in 2001, which still sounds more contemporary than what we've got this year and which is a real good song. The change of channel didn't change anything since our delegation keeps sending songs coming out of the blue that stand no chance whatsoever. The reason why? They don't want to win because it's expensive... as if FRANCE could win easily with a decent song

I really like the simplier and calmer cover version made by this gentleman with interesting socks:

Made by an ESCUnited forum user, actually :) thewalruswasdanny

Yeah it's really bad that they won't release the official video....the live performance is of poor quality to use as the "official" version.

There are snippets from Ann Sophie's album "Silver Into Gold":

Silver Into Gold - Audio Snippets

I'm a bit disappointed 'cause most of the tracks sound like a b-track composition which slept for a while in the archive of the music industry.
Maybe it's not my taste although I like Black Smoke.

The first five tracks are the best imo.

Yes, some of them sound like a filler.
Aside from "Black smoke" and "Jump the gun", though, I like "Still that girl", "Have you ever" and "Silver into gold".

Part 3 of the song-check:

1. 9,9
- beautiful voices - strong and harmonic duet - very intense - touching - very good live - interesting structure - best ballad in the competition

2. :it: 7,7
- strong voices - a bit dated - will not be appealing for a wide audience - a lot of energy - will finish high but will not win - predictable

3. :me: 5,3
- typical Balkan-ballad - interesting structure - one would have expected more form the composer

4. :ie: 5,2
- great voice - a bit boring - there are no highs - she seems stressed - beautiful - not as touching as it should be

5. :lt: 4,9
- it's fun - good opener - tacky - not very innovative - sound more like s solo - not a duet but a duel

6. :cz: 4,6
- strong voices - something is missing - bland structure - sounds like a musical - not authentic - no rhythm

7. :mt: 4,5
- good voice - bad production/arrangement - zero rhythm - too much of everything - no message - Georgia is better

8. :uk: 3,9
-sounds very dated - one would expect more from the UK - flat - "this song is nothing" - repetitive - trashy - catchy but annoying - a bit embarrassing

9. :sm: 3,2
- very very dated - typical Siegel - constructed - flat and weak - song does not fit those two young artists

10. :pt: 2,6
-very melancholic - she sings this song too aggressive - Singer and Song do not fit together - weak voice - no highlights - dated - will not reach the final

One of the experts is from Austria and that's what she said about Ann Sophie:
- a great artist
- amazing charisma
- she wants it!
- beautiful women
- good song

They named :au: :se:  :at: as their favorites

Lol, "Ein bisschen Friesen"? I don't know this song, but I think it is about being about the people living at the norther German coast. ;) ;) ;)

Our radio station played Elaisa again. The ignoring Ann-Sophie completely. This is sad.
