I'm not keen on the song the slightest bit.... but I honestly cannot for the life of me hear the Euphoria comparison. "Euphooooooooooria" - "Gloooooooooooorious" thats the only similarity. The title of the song and the way the two words are both sung with prolonged "O's". Thats where the similarities start and stop. People shouting "plagiarism", lord above help them. Apparently Loreen created the dance song.. Funny because I thought I heard "Euphoria" on adverts for ministry of sound compilation albums about ten years ago. Dance songs almost all share the same beeps and bleeps created by a computer somewhere.

This is not a plagiarism in a technical sense but it's definitely more than just being in the same genre. The chorus has the same structure basically, a bit faster and a less 'dark' production. To evacuate the dancefloor, for example, is completely different even though it is a dance song as well.

And then they picked "Shine". Ironic, isn't it?
TBH she can think about that song whatever she wants but throwing it out there during a public vote was tacky.
its her personal opinion. And you know the austrian- german rival-thing.
Shine is not bad. I would have picked the bandaloop or elija but okay.

Cascada was very well-known in Denmark around 2005-2006. I remember in 6th grade when everyone at my school was obsessed with wearing the right clothes and listening to the right music on their newest fancy cellphones  "Everytime We Touch" was definitely a favourite among my fellow pre-teens at that time  so I really can't help but associate her music with bad things :?

But tbh this song has a pretty good melody and that's obviously one of (if not THE) most important factors in a song, so I give it 7 points.

If EBU didn't care about total rip-offs in the past like Switzerland 2008 for instance or to some extent Denmark 2011 & 2000, then I don't see them caring this time either. If :ch: 2008 got accepted, anything goes... and it just shows that the rules aren't really followed.

What was the problem with Lovebugs ?

BTW, Glorious is starting to be aired on the biggest music radio stations in France. I think it never happened for a Eurovision entry. Even Euphoria was never aired. (I told somewhere else, we never air Eurovision song, in fact "Me and my guitar" became a hit... one year after Eurovision, when it was sure it wasn't connected to Eurovision ! :D )
So it will soon became a hit in France (a bit too early I think though... )

What's that for a picture xrofl3 So "Glorious" consists of intro, verse, bridge, chorus, interlude, chorus and outro, just like "Euphoria" xrofl

I was just about to say the same thing. BILD Zeitung posted this and it's a bit silly to me. It's aimed at those with little understanding of this topic and only see a graphic that would look similar for thousands of songs. It would be me judging a painting though I have no understanding of the technique or style....

I don't know, wheather you all know the program: "Audacity", a program for cutting music. If you load there a song, you even can see this graphics. I tested it myself with these two songs, and Euphoria it really looks like in the BILD-Artcile, but Glorious doesn't.

I told you ;) But somehow EBU didn't bother, even when people pointed this out back then...

So as I said, if :ch: 2008 was allowed, anything could.

But I didn't know it... E stupendo indeed ! :D I've never heard anything about that (and I didn't know the Amy Diamond song, she's unknown there. I know I've only already read this name...) so I don't think it made scandal in Switzerland. I'm gonna ask Swiss fellows ! :)

Well, Amy Diamond is Swedish in probably unknown to the general Swiss public, but it doesn't change the fact that the song was a rip-off and broke the rules of EBU and that EBU didn't care.

Anyways, that's old news and off-topic... bottom-line is, Glorious is not even a copy like that, so if they allowed :ch: back then I don't see why they shouldn't allow :de: now.

First of all our NF on Thursday was the best German NF since many years imo.
I´m glad, that Cascada won even though I liked lots of songs (f.e. Betty Dittrich, Ben Ivory, Mmia Diekow) and so I gave them 12 points in the voting.
