Well, it's not as if Shebang was a musical gift to mankind anyhow
I mean back then when I was a kid it was fun disposable music, but listening to it now it aged really badly.

The German selection is quite interesting this year!!! Germany has really gotten av grip on the Eurovison! I hope the songs will be good and that their final election will be "the right one".....

Die Priester will change their song. There were two many similarities between their song “Ave Maris Stella“ and several religious songs from the 16th and 19th Centuries.
Mobilee and their song “Little Sister” had also been available on YouTube well in advance of the cut off date for performance, Sept 1st. Blog.prinze.de has a report on this here. Apparently it has been decided that as the video had received very small numbers of views, no competitive advantage had been given to Mobilee and their entry.
I don't know if the EBU had ruled on Mobilee's case cause I have a hard time believing they'd just let this one pass especially knowing they'd get a lot of heat if that one ends up winning.

Hmm, according to that article there has been a recent change in the rules about the release dates and possible demos released prior. We shall see, if Mobilee ends up winning I can still see a big shitstorm coming ARD & EBUs way from fans, broadcaster and media.

The point of the September 1st rule is that the songs shouldnt have an advatange from being released prior to that date and, as such, having many fans. But as Mobilee's song had a small number of views I can see why they letted it pass - they dont have any advantage whatsoever.
