Re: GERMANY 2013

There will be a "secret and special" edition of TV Total on tuesday. Highly unlikely, but maybe they will reveal the artists there?

Never ever. The ARD ist just way too narcissistic to announce details about the upcoming national final at Pro7 in a regular show of Stefan Raab. They didn't even consider this in the last three years with Stefan Raab on board :geek:

Probably just wishful thinking, but I could imagine Sizarr participating in the national final. They have some blank fields in their tour calendar during the national final and the ESC :D

Sounds pretty awesome in my opinion. Well known acts like Söhne Mannheim and yet promising but unknown musicians. I like it. Good work Brainpool/NDR.

But "Der Priester" WTF? o_O No church music, please!

Update: Woah, Lena and Loreen will be in the Jury :D

Wow, this looks quite promising :D I am quite positively surprised to find huge names like Cascada and Söhne Mannheims on the list. Can't wait to hear the songs!

Germany has sent 3 awesome entries in the last 3 years that all achieved good results, so hopefully that will continue this year as well.

Re: GERMANY 2013

I do not think this looks promising at all. The only well-knowns are Söhne Mannheims and recent flop band Cascada. Also, there seems to be no song title that is in German (not sure about 'Nackert' and Lalala'). Not much of a surprise though, NDR/Brainpool hate everything German with passion.

I am listening to a few songs by Labrassbanda. Doesn't sound uninteresting even though their chances to win are probably small.

"Nackert" is Bavarian dialect, I'm curious how this will sound  And for the rest: xcheer for Nica & Joe, Saint Lu and Söhne Mannheims; Cascada we have to see if she can sing live; the rest: have heard of some, I'm curious how the songs will sound :D

How is it brave? They're a has-been eurodance band with 1-2 hits (depending on what markets you look at) with one of these hits being a cover song. It's not as if they have something to loose.

I suppose they still have more to lose than most of the acts that plump for ESC though, they still have quite a large fanbase :p

I cannot speak for most other countries but sure not in Germany, Europe's most profitable market, where their albums fall out of the Top100 after one or two weeks.
