Thanks for sharingSomeone uploaded the video again:
Honestly, only the biggest fools would see this as a political provocation.
What are they supposed to do, put black squares over existing statues in their national capital? Give me a friggen break.
very polite statement indeed..........
but honestly,I can see your point to your second sentence! What can someone do if he has not too many things to show....?He ll use whatever of more importance to him!And if that is mainly associated with another country, well thats even greater (for me!)
Now,back to the song (finally!!!!) I like it more tnow that I listened to it again compared to yesterday's first listening, but still, nothing quite remarkable for me!I dont think Kaliopi could be overcome by this year's entry
The song is not bad, better from previous entries, but i just laugh with the video really..so much plasterboards and metal around the city advertizing Great Alexander.. We have the real marbles, you have the fake ones...omg..! Anyway good luck~
Great then, it's a tribute to Greece. 12 points to Macedonia in the semi?
*checks out*What's the monument thing Esma and Vlatko are standing at singing (with white marmor and in the very end it looks like some sort of triumph with golden horses on or something)?
I suppose that Macedonians just feel pain when people talk about their country in Eurovision as FYROM. Look, there are 193 countries in this world and how many countries do not even have a formal convention name and has to use a temporary name to identify itself? Maybe only Macedonia!
To the Greece side I don't know why do you have such a strong feeling of resistance facing the statue in the video. In China, we do recognize officially the name of the REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA rather than FYROM, but we are taught in our history textbooks in the schools that Alexander the Great is a GREEK historical figure. There was once a great Empire of Macedonia, but anyone who know the history well in China knows that the Empire of Macedonia is part of Greek history and has nothing to do with the actual Republic of Macedonia.
I think it is useless to be upset only for a statue, much less when Eurovision is an entertainment event rather than a political occasion.
I'm worrying about the risk of "Macedonia quits or Greece quits" situation, as the 18th of March has not arrived and for now if a country decides to withdraw he is free to do so. As we only have 39 countries for this edition, I really hope that this issue will get control and be resolved as soon as possible.
EDIT: At this time, the only one who is laughing OIKOTIMES.

China (may I say People's Republic of China?), as well, doesn't recognize the name of Republic of China for Taiwan, instead taiwanese people have to name their country as "Chinese Taipei" in sport competitions. So, It's more less the same case.
I agree that both cases are rather silly, but we don't have the right to pick it random the name of the countries, It has to be linked with official and international conventions.

Imperija will undergo change in the lyric and arrangement!!! That is official statement by MRTV. Also and official video will be changed !!
*checks out*
It's like a liberty statue or something like that.
The other link was removed again:
MKTV stated that they don't have anything to do with the video and they probably asked to change it. Although, I honestly don't see what's the point of changing it. Plus that statue, supposed statue of Alexander, is actually called "A warrior on a horse". So, I still don't get the fuzz then.
Why do Greeks care too much about FYROM's statue anyway? It's just a video clip, for God sake!
