Re: FRANCE 2018

Jane's song sounds like something from a Disney movie

Re: FRANCE 2018

Like wtf, he is in the band (it is a duo), he has written the song. I didn't even notice him, her stageprecence killed everything.

I don't understand how people are missing that this is really good. Sure, I still can't see anything beat Lisandro in the end, but this is simply amazing.

I dont care if he wrote it or is in the band,he ruins the staging.Looks silly him just standing there like a card board cut out in a cinema reception,it loses the edge. The song is ruined by him.Her alone it works and looks and sounds good, with him its all a bit naff, each to their own of course.

Not a spectacular song, but still a nice performance overall. Good job, Jane! xheya

Re: FRANCE 2018

bless her she seems so nice and smiley and it shines through her song, which sounds like disney meeting a french esc entry circa 2002. I don't know if it is the right song to go with tbh, sounds like a ticket to the bottom 3 but she is a quality singer.

Jane has a wonderful voice I must say and strong stageprecense as well, but the song is a little old-fashioned and doesn't reach the hights that I would like for a classic ballad. Sound like a song from the 80s or 90s, that would get a middle placement in Eurovision back then. Not bad but not enough for now.

Re: FRANCE 2018

Jane Constance - "Un Jour J'ai Rêvé": Damn, she's articulate for her age! And of course, she knows how to perform on stage. Third song, third finger-snap sound of the night... Not keen on the song: it's very melodic and Jane sells it well, but it's kind of transparent and impactless. Sounds like a Disney song. We already have many ballads in Eurovision like this one generally, it'd be pointless to send another one tbh. Isabelle spoke the truth: "she's unsure whether the song's right for Eurovision or not". Good performance.

Re: FRANCE 2018

I find Jane really moving as a person. The song is not strong enough but I like it.

So

Isabelle finds the song really moving, loves her song, her soul. She says that she has the right song for her, not necessary for Eurovision.
Amir loves her positivity, and that she can be a universal ambassador of hope.
Christophe loves the power of her interpretation that strenghthens her classical song.

She wants to be in Eurovision because it's a once in a lifetime experience and because everyone has dreams...

What a horrendous choice for a cover song. He was just rabbiting on about Kendji, why not sing one of his songs?

Re: FRANCE 2018

Well that kinda sucked :? :( He was struggling a lot with his vocals and the performance could be better... what a missed opportunity!
Amir apparently loved it, I guess he relates to bad vocals

Nassi - "Rêves De Gamin": Colourful presentation  The song is actually quite good and melodic, although the musical break is highly reminiscent of Indila's "Tourner Dans Le Vide". I don't like the lyrics, a bit too typical. His performance was okay, shame he doesn't have more power vocally, because it would explode more otherwise. I wouldn't mind him qualifying.

Re: FRANCE 2018

It felt to me like there was too much going on in the song, and he sounded nervous
