Re: FRANCE 2018

In my opinion, Lisandro's entry is one of the best out of this bunch. I don't even know whether we're all reckoning that his song is bland as hell, as it is even more alike with a lot of successful entries in the ESC than anything else.

However, he didn't win yet. We can still be astouned by the final results.

But it's not enough. You don't do well because you can dance on stage. You get a good result because your song is different from the others. Because it conveys something that people can connect to.
"Eva" doesn't have any of these elements. It feels so bland and unoriginal. Mark my words, it will flop.

"doesnt have any of these elements". Well i don't agree with you for that point. And i dont think people who watch eurovision (not eurofans) pay attention of these details. The most important is the feeling you get when you hear the song, or the thrill you can potentially have. Mark my words, it will not flop i am 90% sure of that.
Your judgment about the potential of this song is influenced by the fact that you do not necessarily like the song (and it's totally normal), just as mine is influenced by the fact that I love the song. We just need to have the final judgment of the international jury first of all, and after this more viewers reaction. With these new elements, we will have a better idea of the potential of this song.

But there are always 15 uptempo songs that you dance to in Eurovision every year. A-L-W-A-Y-S. If you go down that route, your song has to be special.
As for the international juries, they are always a joke in each NF tbh. But that's OK.

Here is your answer

I'm totally able to connect to Eva as well. xcookie

Okay, we perfectly got that you didn't like Lisandro's entry, but we can't say that this is bland or awful. This would be one of the best French entries in the decade. Moreover, I just want to remind you that we almost only had ballads in 2015.

Ahah, in a decade ? Are you kidding me ?
"Requiem", "J'ai Cherché" and "S'il Fallait Le Faire" are far better. Anyway, agree to disagree.

How did you hear all the songs?
I found only few on Deezer, and next to "Eva" there is a sign that says JAN 15. :/

Can someone send me the links for deezer or youtube, or download link as a private message.

Re: FRANCE 2018

After having listened to the snippets I am quite intrigued by the french this year.
I am expecting to have Nassi as my favourite even after having heard the whole songs. Elle m'a aimé is one of my favourite songs of Kendji Girac, and there definitely are resemblances! So I do trust Nassi's abilities as a songwriter.

Eva starts super great, loving that beat in the beginning. But what is this high note & ending .. mess ahaha

My ranking of semi 1:
1. Masoe
2. Lisandro Cuxi
3. - 5. Louka / Ehla / Enea

Others are meh. Especially Emmy Liyana - Human *cough*

From what I've listened to so far, Masoe is definitely my favourite!! x12s

I really like the chorus of Lisandro's song but the rest somehow feels quite soulless to me?!
