I really hope it won't win, it's not horrible as Rybak or Conchita, but it's really lame for the winner! :(

Especially comparing to some GEMS like Australia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Croatia, Sweden, Greece...

I can understand many things, but Greece a gem? Really?

I'm disappointed by the performance,e but I can't say I'm surprised because I've seen many of his earlier performances and well... Amir is not a great live singer overall. :( It's a big shame because this song is really distinctive and it could bring Eurovision back to France after many years of misery.

Yes Greece, of course, who appreciates smth different, that one likes Greece 2016, and it features REAL traditional quality music, unlike many previous Greek entries with shitty fake ethno pop,. this one is GREAT, rehearsal gives me high hopes.. :)

Please Amir, please Nathalie André, please Edouardo Grassi, please France 2, change the staging a little bit and you will host the contest next year in Paris.
This song needs a staging with lot of colors, of people on stage and energy. Don't miss the winning just because of the staging, please. A lot of fans want to see Eurovision in Paris! We count on you, we want to host the contest in 2017 in Paris!

Go Amir, go France, good luck, we count on you for a great staging tomorrow for the second rehearsal!

France needs more show, but has all the charm
Good luck France xheat xheat xheat xheart xheart xheart xheart

Juries will love it, and public in general too, At the sight of some eurofans they say it's a flop, but they are too deep in analyizing his staging....

I agree with the fact that it needs a plus or something extra to make it memorable but it's a great multimedia as well.

I hope things go well in the second rehearsal!

Here's Amir singing at the opening of Douwe Bob's bar:

Ukraine and Croatia are the unique ones i would catalogate as gems
But J'ai Cherche is a diamond in a bouquet of s***

Ukraine, you are right,I forgot it, cause before this comment I didn't watch her rehearsal, but Croatia dropped a bit.. unfortunately.. :(

I thought the second rehearsal went well, I just saw the video Wiwibloggs posted. He sounded good, the backing vocals were clearer, and I liked the fact that he moved around a bit more to make use of the stage. With good camera angles, I think this will translate well on screen

I'm quite happy!

His second rehearsal was soooooo much better! He may have not such an impressive staging, but he's so charismatic! You can actually feel how much he likes to perform and he's smiling all the time giving the audience good vibes. Vas-y France!

i just saw a vid of his rehearsal : he's moving ! hahaha

it was 10 times better than the first rehearsals

EDIT : and i kinda get used to it, the fact that is very simple. I do think that on one side there's a lot of high tech stuff this year and this staging looks lazy if you compare and on the other hand it helps to deliver the song more and focus on Amir's charm and charisma which is very effective imo

Quite enjoyed the press conference, I like the admission from the French team that there's still more to do before Saturday. Amir is absolutely right, he doesn't need dancers or fancy stuff because the song stands well on its own

His vocal coach is flying in later to start working on improvements with him according to an interview he did with a Polish journalist after the first rehearsal, hopefully it will be even better during tomorrow's jury show where they're filming the performance footage for SF1. And later today, we will know which half of the final he's getting
