Saara was terrific, I was in the arena, and everyone were kinda shocked, when she began to sing in our language. Much better performance than in UMK

Yes, this performance was dynamite, I was so disappointed with the UMK performance.

I guess Saara sabotaged her UMK performance of Monsters because she preferred Queens, but now it is chosen, she needs to deliver

I don't think she sabotaged it. It is just fault of stage directors and arena itself: there is always bad sound in Metro Areena plus there was bad mixing so backing vocalist were lauder than Saara. However, we have to remember that Lithuanian performance has nothing in common with the Eurovision performance and that there were pre-recorded backings in Lithuanian final.

YLE is notorious for shit sound quality. They probably use equipment bought from a yard-sale, wired through the biggest potato they could find.
They are beyond a joke at this point.

Metro Areena has bad acoustic indeed, but it didn't stop Norma John having a good performance last year. Yes, they didn't had to follow a flamboyant choreography, but that's exactly the point. If anyone to blam for the disaster in UMK, it's the staging itself.

I like the song ..... I don't love it tho.
Nothing groundbreaking or particularly new here ...... Doesn't sound like a winner at all, a qualifier PROBABLY.

I hope she doesn't come off as too severe and harsh with her staging since that's when the "family show" factor kicks in and it might hurt her chances of qualifying.

If someone was still wondering, Saara just confirmed in an interview for Lithuanin tv, that they have created a completely new show for Monsters. Of course, that doesn't guarantee anything it could be much better or even worse than UMK disaster

4:08 onwards

I love this song, but I hated her UMK staging. That was Barabara Dex material. If she does something like what she did in the Lithuanian NF, it would be better.

She needs to draw inspiration for staging from the music video. Something more daring would be perfect for this song.

I can't forget her singing a verse of this song in Lithuanian in our NF. I am partial. :D The song is nothing particularly special, but to me it is. :)

did people even watch her in the lithuanian NF

UMK is absolutely not representative of her capabilities as a performer and it had shit sound quality so nobody would sound good there this year anyway

It's a very strong euro-club hit haha. Slightly dated, but memorable, has quality and identity and atmosphere, is catchy ... no doubt about that. And I love Saara, I followed X Factor UK in 2016 as soon as she participated and really rooted for her. Especially as I liked her 2016 UMK entry and I have Finnish ancestry as well. She's come to be a really confident performer, a really sweet and strong person and I do admire her ambition and persistence, she's a super hard worker and she's proof of how far all of that along with talent and a bit of character can get somebody. I'm really, really proud of her. I like the story of an outsider finally getting to be a star. However, how she was selected is still absolute freaking nonsense to me. There's no way that since she got so far on a popular British show, she should be entitled to automatic participation at the expense of everyone who actually sent their songs in that were eventually scrapped in favour of her and the 'Saara show'. Nor is she somehow suddenly the best artist in Finland and can actually win Eurovision because of her accomplishment, it's not going to happen. If they tried to pull that here, I really would be outraged. They should've just gone through with the original UMK and immediately selected her for next year. I don't know, the whole thing definetly was just shady as hell, but oh well  I like the song and I have no doubt they'll get the performance right in the end at that she'll give her best.
