The studio version of "Monsters" is the best song released so far for Eurovision 2018. The live performance though was SO weak. Her voice was shaky, everything was too much and the angles were really weird. I would have voted for "Domino" tbh, the package their was more convincing, even though the song was weaker. I really hope they will work on the performance. I also feel like Saara needs to work on her vocals in the verses. She can nail the high parts but the lower region she really needs to improve. If I just rated the studio version, it would be my clear winner. But based on the live performance I gave 8 points.

Wooooo, the right song was chosen - now the hard work begins in getting the camera angles and live performance just right for the ESC stage as this seemed a little all over the place. At least the basis is great, things can only get better from here right?

10 points with the hope that this will be easily Top 3 when May comes around xpray

Well, the vocals are weak, the song is OK! If she won't be improved, she won't do well! 5 points Finland!

like, saara is good live. we have plenty of evidence for that in multiple programs. this was a hot mess, but it's merely a blip on the radar. it's the staging that needs a life coach (i mean it in the best way possible).

i don't get what is supposed to be good about this song, i find it utterly generic. imo this has absolutely no chance to win eurovision.

I've no idea why both juries & televoters chose the weakest package. Monsters was my 2nd place based on the studio versions (Queens being my favourite). However the other 2 songs came alive much more on stage, especially Domino which I thought was hopeless. Right now I've got parts from both Domino's & Queens' choruses stuck in my head but I can't even remember how Monsters goes at all... :6: points mostly because of the song, but Saara is definitely in trouble if nothing changes from today's performance.

Thrilled Finland picked this, easily my current 12 points!

It's not all golden though, the performance does need work. Saara was good, but it needs more than 2 backing vocalists and the staging/imagery needs to be clearer and brighter (visually and thematically).

But Finland took a chance on a great pop song that can be worked on, which I'm sure will pay off! Just wish the UK had done the same with 'Legends' (although still holding out for the final version of 'Storm')...

I'm sorry but I'm not feeling it. The song is just ok with some nice bits when she sings the Monsters chorus, other than that not much that I like.
The studio version was better than the live performance.

Domino was a better song if you ask me.

6 pts for now, but I'm not confident that will grow on me later.

what the hell, the performance was a mess and the vocals were truly terrible. Finland has 2 months to fix and tidy up.
I'll give this 7 points, because I absolutely adore the studio version and this song has so much potential. For the live version, I'd give 1 points.

It's not a surprise that Monsters won. Judging from comments on the internet it seemed to be the favourite to win.
I really enjoy the studio version; it's not something original or very exciting - but it's a very decent pop-song. However I agree with most here that Saara did not deliver on stage tonight. What I saw and heard tonight was far from top 10 material in May. But there is plenty of time to improve.

No surprises here, with the big fan favourite - and in my eyes, the only properly good song of the three - winning (though note that I haven't been able to find clips of the other two songs live yet).

It's nothing spectacular, but it's some good old Eurovision dance-pop fun with a modern layer to it, which is nice to have a bit of. As far as the live performance goes, Saara's vocals could certainly do with some improvements, but I actually quite liked the staging; it's the sort of over-the-top performance I love to see at least a few of in Eurovision in each year, complete with crazy costumes, light shows, reveals and props everywhere.

Hoping to see a lot tightened up over the next few months, but I still kinda like what I'm seeing at this point, so I'll give 6 points.

Oh great, the best song won out of those 3. However, none of those three made me be full of hype for Saara, which is sad cause I was really looking forward to support her in 2018. The live performance didn't convince me much eitehr. Ugh. "Monsters" is still a really catchy song, I guess. 8 points.

It's okay. A standard pop song: nothing too spectacular.

It will qualify, and likely end 13th-18th place in the Final.

A decent pop song, nothing too special.
Her live performance is impressive though, but somehow I feel like the choreography is meant to cover the mediocreness of the song.. :D

The sad thing is that Domino actually showed her very impressive singing skills. Considering the X-Factor result will be used to promote her, it's sad she has a song that does not show her full potential. :(
I wouldn't be so sure about qualifying yet, but I hope the best for my neighbours. 12 from Estonian televoting for sure lol.

THE GOOD:
-It's got a good beat to it.
-The vocals are decent.

THE BAD:
-It's barely memorable.
-The beginning is just average.

THE VERDICT:
THis is a good song, but not a great song. The beginning of it drags it down for me. It's a coin flip on whether or not this makes the Final. 7 points

Thought this was ok in the studio version, that live performance though... just no. I'm not really gonna focus on the costumes, choreo, staging. It was all tacky and terrible, but that's easy to fix. But her voice? I thought she was supposed to be a good vocalist? This was just unpleasant. Especially when she tried those higher notes. Eww.

Weird staging and dreadful singing. Ruins what is an alright song!!! I'm going to give it 8 points for the SONG but a lot of work needed on everything else!

I was blown away by the video, but live... a bit disappointing. Still - this is a great entry and a sure qualifier imo.
