Since when did you become a hater? xhand And isn't it rather contradictory to what you've comment earlier? xthink

if you will check last year discussion about cheating in Eurovision, you will see what I think about fixing Denmark's victory by Sweden and over-favoritism ;) I expected from Denmark something better, and it went good so far until they revealed final running order

OK, I will not jump into that dreadful thread again, xpoke but I get the big picture. Sorry, but the idea Emmelie de Forest won by cheating is just a huge pile of rubbish. Seriously get real.

haha I love Sanna Nielsen and Sweden IS in my top3 this year BUT you really think we had no idea that Denmark will give Sweden #13 from first half? Or that Russia will get very beginning of 2nd half? I don't say anything about Ukraine and Belarus as #1 and #2, which have not very different styles, but Armenia-Montenegro, Poland-Greece and Netherlands-San Marino

That is a ridiculous draw. I thought Ukraine were going to win this year, but DR have just decided "No; it's not allowed". It's a complete killer to one of the favourites. I hope Ukraine make a big fuss about this.

It's not too bad for the other favourites. Traditionally we think of 17-22 as the winners' spots, but the later ones have also contributed some big scores over the years, especially at the turn of the millennium. Whether DR are aware of that or are just basing their decision on keeping Netherlands and UK out of the winner zone, I can't be sure.

Whatever the case, the big winner is DR's fellow Scandinavian.

I can't defend the running order and can honestly say I understand very little of the order number magic. I can understand it may be favourable to have a certain starting number and the result may perhaps be even more influenced by surrounding songs. However, the idea that DR and SVT is exchanging favours may be fun as a joke, but to take it serious is another thing entirely. So, I still hoping you're indeed joking about the whole thing. ;)

Okay guys, let's get serious. Someone has to go 1st and this year it happens to be Ukraine. I know that everyone would wish their least favorite song would go 1st, but it doesn't work like this ;)

The way it works is the problem.

If it worked fairly, then it wouldn't be a problem having one of the favourites go first.

And why do the producers have to care who is the favorite and who is not? And I ask once again - why would you put a non-favorite in the 1st spot? Just to kill it faster?

I agree with you on that but how come Sweden got the 13th place then? Seems like they did care for this one.

A favourite is a favourite, People will accuse the broadcaster of fixing it by putting the favourites first and really early on. Non-favourites it doesn't matter because they wont win anyway.

Sweden draw at the first half. The organizers gave them the best running order of the first half

Yeah, but what a coincidence if you ask me!

Sweden could have been the opener, but that's not how it works.
