While eurofans are always obsessed with the nordics, NFs from Serbia, Ukraine, Portugal and Finland are the best since covid.
Even though Melofestivalen and DMGP are not good, Eesti Laul is the biggest hand down.

My favorite NFs are Italy, Portugal, Ukraine and until 2022 Finland and Norway. Since then the two countries dropped rapidly. Also like Serbia and Croatia.

In this decade =/= since Covid-19, I think I like UMK the most in terms of "ordinarry National Finals". The songs are very competitive, modern, artsy-fartsy and we got some very beautiful ballads. The performances usually are top-notch and well-staged. It's crazy to believe that just a few songs compete (e.g. 6 or 7 and I usually love 2-4 out of them - 2020-2021 were a bit weaker than 2022-2025, though)

I would like to add MGP as well but I'm baffled how tremendously generic and bad this year's edition seems to be whilst the quality and variety of recent editions were incredible.

I agree with @mauve and @goncalovieira on and - Both countries had a massive glow-up regarding their NFs.
I'd also add to conclude my Top 5 (great production, some catchy and competitive entries [which don't make it to their Final]).
Since 2021 I purchase 3-6 songs per edition (from Festival da Canção) to create a "Best of Portugal" playlist. Some songs are truly beautiful! Edmundo Inácio's "A festa" would have been my #1 in ESC.

Sanremo is in a league of its own. I'd probably put Italy on top, though.. so that's my Top 6 regarding NF's since 2020:

Based on my taste in music, I think that (all editions), 2022 and 2022 were the worst in this decade so far. Benidorm 2024 was very close but it got saved by great stagings, imo.

I´m happy for Michelle (don´t know why she´s only in the final though) and Sandra. I just have to mute Hazel, for me she´s one of the most unfunny persons on German TV.

Would´ve liked to see Sven Epiney instead as a main host.

Michelle should have a very expensive cachet. That is why she is doing the grand final instead of the semis as well
And lets be real. 2 hosts for the semifinals is more than enough. The first half of the show they just need to welcome the viewers and make the bridges from the songs and the ads time. After the last song, one of them should be dedicated to the green room and the other on the main stage with the results.

It bothers me that I can't watch the draw due to work - The Swiss broadcaster already promised that the show will be significantly different to previous draws.

I was hoping to see popping up unexpectedly. I truly thought that Bacho was able to convince Moldova's channel to pick him and give Eurovision another try (come on, guys - you already paid the participation fees and Bacho's sponsors will cover all additional costs - what's the point of withdrawing?!?!)

Why there are so few artists announced? In the last year almost every country who went for internal announced their artist. This year we have just three with just Austria coming soon.
I have this feeling most artists are refusing to go due to the big stress of those who were in Malmo last year, with all the Israel situation, and they just feel this will happen again.
