I'm not sure about this being a locked qualifier. Is it really that popular? What's its target audience? I say this as someone who loved Joost's song last year. EM is lacking as a song and performance imo.

It's one of the few songs so far that's gotten some viral attention outside the bubble. That's not a guarantee for great ESC results, but it seems there's some kind of an audience at least. I'm guessing it could appeal to casual (possibly drunk) ESC watchers who like silly catchy stuff. :giggle: Anecdotal evidence online seems to indicate the casual crowd might enjoy it. How well it would do in the end is hard to say, given jury appeal and other televote contenders, but I think his odds to at least qualify are pretty decent, especially if he can upgrade the staging/vocals.

This one's not a fader for me.
It's a free-down-faller (if that word exists)

Well, i voted for it. And i never never ever vote at Eesti Laul or Eurovision, even though i mostly watch it. My viewpoint is still quite casual and separate from the fandom hivemind. So perhaps that's your target audience, it is in its own category.

Honestly, I can't see people not voting for this. Eurovision is an entertainment show, and especially in recent years fun entries are higher in appreciation than ballads. With the power of the televote only semi final, it is against all the odds that this song will not make it to the final.

It seems the melody is copy and paste with this song, what do you think about it?

This is going to win the televote and deep inside we all know it. That the fandom doesn't like it that much doesn't really care. It's going to be that entry every media or talkshow shows when briefly mentioning ESC, social media like Tiktok will pick this up and the casual viewers will vote for this massively.

For sure this is one of the most mediatic entries, in Italy everyone is talking about Tommy Cash and will get for sure our 10 points with the 12 locked in for Gabry Ponte.

But I think :se: choosing KAJ is a really bad news for Tommy and Espresso Macchiato, since Bara bada bastu is way more professional as a novelty act and less divisive. I can see :se: being the new :hr:, and :ee: filling the boots of what Joost could have done, with maybe just a top 3 in the televoting.

I dunno.. when it first came out, I sorta thought so too

But I think Sweden has a very similar thing going on, but actually good, and they would certainly soften the blow. Then there's Australia as well...
And even Prison Cake has a similar shtick going on of it survives the semi so who knows.. Not to mention the horrible performance which will hinder it at least a little bit.

Unfortunately... Where are real melodies? I hope juries will sink this.

Idk why but I am in love with this song, it is catchy and yeah its essence lies in a complete madness, but that´s what makes this song a true gem. My 12 pointer so far

RIP "Leto Svet" as my favorite estonian entry ever. There's a new sheriff in town. Now it's officially official:
My winner of 2025 is :ee: ESTONIA and Tommy Cash!xyaaay We all saw this coming the moment I changed my signature to: "Life is like spaghetti, it's hard until you make it." My sense of humor is exactly like that. The best jokes are the ones that sting just a little and are also inspired by true facts.

I first learned about Tommy after his collab with Little Big. I'd be lying if i said that i was super invested in his songs from the start, but the thumbnails of "Winalotto" and "Little Molly" were inescapeble in my youtube recommendations. The song that put him on the map for me is actually more recent one: "Untz Untz" The music video is surreal and it featues some of my favorite pornstars. Giggity.

Oh, and before that, his collab with Kaarija was also right up my alley xmusic

"Espresso Macchiato" is made for eurovision and Tommy's biggest strength is his showmanship. His vocals don't need to be perfect because that's not the point of it. (better vocals are always welcome though, don't get me wrong). Will he actually win eurovision? Absolutely not, but he won for me, and for me, that matters more.

Well done, Estonia! Maybe next year you can send Ollie and try for a double crown? I can't promise anything thoughxblush

Okay what kind of green screen witchcraft is that. The way two screens merge and he dances with himself

I just hope they can keep the aesthetics of the video in the actual live performance rather than the one in Eesti Laul. This is genius!
