A bit off-topic, but I also liked the first song of Sunberryz:

That was a cute little summer-ish pop gem I kinda liked it!

Estonian language is really nice, really hope you'll stick with it. If people want to argue English would be better for results, then Estonia really proves the opposite.

So Estonia officially announced their participation in 2013. No surprise here but it's always fun to see the number of pariticpants growing. Hopefully we can hit the 40 mark again.

This article adds nothing new that we didn't already know in May. I guess somebody just e-mailed our HOD for extra confirmation. Official announcement (with all the rules, etc.) is usually made in September or October.

The clips you posted on the other side (minus ESC entries) are they the only ones made by Sven Löhmus?? If you know, could you provide a list of what stuff he made for Estonian selections (doesn't need to be clips, just names of entries and who performed it).

I want to see if there's anything good in there.

I also don't like Laura's entry, don't get why it was such a fan-wank tbh...

Suntribe's entry was atleast a bit cute, but not very good.

Watching these, I think it was even more important to develop the Eesti Laul concept. Estonia's quality in entries really went down alot from the (fab) 90's in the 00's. Just recently (with 2009 entry and introduction of Eesti Laul) it went up again... although I don't agree with most of the winners though.

SEL TEEL
is a new song taken from the second full-length album "Dreams Come True" by the Estonian electronica act Sinine, featuring female vocals by wonderful Sandra Nurmsalu (who some may remember as the Estonian who came in 6th at the 2009 Eurovision song contest).

SININE IS
Sinine is Estonian electronica singer/songwriter/producer Mauno Meesit with additional vocal performance by Liina Rätsep and live-drums by Jaagup Tormis.
Sinine's compositions organically blend a pop sensibility with elements of rock, electronica, dubstep, classical, ambient, folk and trip-hop music into songs underscored by Meesit's distinctive musical handwriting.
It was fall 2003 when Meesit, after having played guitar in several rock bands, started searching for ways of making more personalized music. He started experimenting with electronic music, and his solo project Sinine (the Estonian word for "blue") was born. Sinine's first album Butterflies was released on September 18th, 2009 on the prominent German label Accession Records. It was highly acclaimed amongst fans and critics alike. Now Sinine is about to release the second album Dreams Come True and this is only the beginning...

TÄPSELT KUU AJA PÄRAST tohib oma EESTI LAUL 2013 konkursile toodavad laulud avalikuks teha!
1. september on klassikaliselt see kuupäev, mil raadios, teles, internetis, kontserdil ja mujal tohib neid lugusid esitada.
EESTI LAUL 2013 kuulutatakse ametlikult välja sügisel ja siis selgub ka laulude esitamise tähtaeg, mis saab ilmselt olema detsembris.
HITID SÜNDIGU! Aamen.

Translation:
In exactly one month time the songs for Eesti Laul 2013 competition may be made public.
1st September is traditionally the date when the songs may be played on the radio, television, internet, concert and elsewhere.
Eesti Laul 2013 will be officially announced in the autumn and exact deadline for submissions will be determined then, most likely in December.
May the hits be born! Amen.



Nothing new, just more confirmation that we will be participate in 2013.

Sandra and Sinine have given a couple of interviews this week. Sandra said that Urban Symphony has not broken up and disbanded, but she has no idea when they are going to do something new. She is still on a maternity leave and the others are busy as well. She and Sinine would like to collaborate again in the future and there's a music video planned for "Sel teel" but that will take a few months.

Post on Eesti Laul's facebook page says we should expect some news soon. I guess there will be an official announcement by the end of September, which is earlier than usually.

I hope Eesti Laul final will be one week before MF final as usual, i wanna go both of them Last year i enjoyed Eesti Laul final in audience so much.
Btw, Paul Lepasson of Mimicry stated that Mimicry will continue as his solo project and Kene Vernik will continue her musical career in different way :/
