Thanks! Seriously, I can't believe it either - I honestly, think that it's a very diverse year in terms of genres (and somehow even languages, I mean, I didn't expect to hear Russian and Danish in Eurovision again) and I love it that some entries attempt to come up with some bold choices (Ukraine, Russia, France, Belgium) and I can't think of another year in the last decade in which we had so many (hardcore-ghey-camp-trashy) bops which I absolutely adore: Moldova, San Marino, Cyprus are miles ahead of the ones we got last year (Supergirl? - I think we only got this one). I even enjoy the ballads (Austria blew me away, I seriously think it's their best entry I've ever encountered). I'm also warming up to the new version of@Mainshow Wooooah so many 12s. Someone's a lucky boy this year. I'm glad Victoria picked one of your favourites.

I really enjoy this year so far even though I hate what my country has to offer.
I think I never ever had so manyin my life - the highlights of this year are really absolutely amazing in my books (don't know if 2021 is better than 2018 or 2009 yet, though).

Glad you can still appreciate the huge level of diversity this year despite not having many (new) favourites.I agree. The diversity this year is fantastic. Everyone seems to be doing their own thing which is wonderful. A decent chunk of songs with strong ethnic elements, quite a few artists choosing to sing in their native tongue or incorporating sections in languages other than english, the fun (trashy) bops as you mentioned are strong. Even if I'm personally not loving much this year, I can appreciate what's being brought.
I do need some more super favourites though. With only eight songs left to go, my joke about my top 5 ending up being the exact same as last year looks like very possible reality here. I might not even have to make a new signature.
