Yes USSR countries will co-opt each other in the final except maybe for Latvia.

But they could also send a good song, as they used to years ago when they were a succesful country.

I'm afraid they need to change their pre-selection format and mentality to do it.

Semi 1 is so predictable

The whole top half excluding Lativa will advance and Ukraine will from the second. After that the final two is between Belgium, Hungary, Moldova and the Netherlands depending on the song. I think the rest are pretty much chanceless xshrug

Semi 2 is more messy but I think it will be Norway, Romania and Greece, Malta, Finland, Belarus, welcome back Poland and Israel. After that it will probably be Solvenia (all that effort to keep them in!). Ireland and Lithuania will fight for the last spot while I think Georgia and even Macedonia are question marks xthink

I think you're right on Semi final 1, but i'm not so sure on Semi final 2. I guess I will have to look at it further. Georgia's only real partner in SF2 is Lithuania, and that is not enough to make the final. Macedonia is screwed, with only Slovenia as it a possible partner. Seeing how the running order go for the first half, Norway, Georgia, Israel and Austria could be in some real trouble.

It's too early!!! And why are you placing Malta, Belarus, Finland, Poland among the strongest contenders?

Well I personally believe compared to everything else in the semi after Norway, Romania and Greece they probably are the strongest to qualify next, especially when you look at the past history xshrug

Poland will get to the final because the EBU was desperate to get them back in ESC and won't let them flop. Looking at their national finals Malta and Finland just feel poised to be jury favorites in the semi as well as possible televote getters too. Israel picked an artist that looks jury friendly and Belarus will go well in the televote but the jury probably won't have enough sway to kill them completely.

It's only my personal guess xshrug

Don't forget that Eurovision is all about underdogs, a lot of countries will qualify no matter what the odds.

And don't forget that Eurovision is about music, and even though block/friendly voting might hurt a little, the key factor is always the songs and the performances ;)

Belarus qualifies every 3 years (2007, 2010, 2013) so next time 2016 only  moreover with its draw, all supporters (Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan etc.) in other semi
