Ok I like this song, it is pretty good and has a lot of potential.. I ;however, was expecting to feel a "Hard Rock Hallaelujah" type of song. I did not feel it with this one. It could very well be if he becomes more energetic .. Songs like this are meant to burn the stage not stay there and do nothing.. Other than this is a sure qualifier!! I will give it a 6 for now, hoping he improves! Great job Denmark on choosing another lovely song!

They told that for Denmark 2010 too, in the end they ended 4th in the final..

Even if Sannie wasn't that great in performance in the final (sounds like it was the same for others anyway) there was at least something to build on, and I think it was better to look at it like that. If you pick a boring song (like I think they did) you can polish it, perform it to the max and it will still be boring.

I can't see this getting any less than Top 10 in the final right now. They will fill that stage in Lisbon and the atmosphere and emotion will fill the auditorium

I think there is a general dislike towards on this forum because a lot of people feel they do not take 'risks'.
It's funny how divisive this song is, looking at how non-offensive it is. I think this songs falls between two sides of the discussion people have about denmark in ESC for the past years.
Some people love that denmark send quality entries, which can be at bit bland sometimes. Higher Ground finally takes a little more risk from the standard pop tracks they have send the past few years so people love it. Others only see 'Higher Ground' still as the same boring denmark from the past few years, only this time with a viking theme, and therefore hate it.
I personally really like this song, it's my second favourite so far, but I do not absolutely love it yet. It's too formulaic for that. Still, I think the dislike of this forum towards this song really underestimates its potential. I'm saying it here so I can come back here in a few months to say that I was right, this will reach the top 10, maybe top 15 if the staging does not improve.
