I voted 1 point, I really liked Dansk MGP 2013, but winner is terrible for me...so typical LOL :D

My favorite song from all NF songs this season is from Dansk MGP - Jack Rowan feat. Sam Grey - "Invincible", I LOVE that world class performance, and song.. :)

What are those bookmakers smoking? 'Cause I want some.

The bookmakers don't just put songs wherever they want. People place bets on songs...and I think that, apart from Sweden (I think Germany will do better than Sweden), the top 5 looks about right so far. I'm waiting for Italy's song and then we'll have a clearer picture.

'Mkay if you all say so. IMO this year doesn't have any clear winner and this can only favour songs like Russia (ie. boring and soulless, like "Running Scared")

Im wating for the Italian song too. I just hope the the bookmakers bring some excitement back to the Netherlands they really deserve it

I wouldn't worry about the bookmakers too much. Iceland was constantly a top choice but things will get shuffled around as soon as rehearsals start. It's one of the reason why the first rehearsals are no longer available to the public.

So if Emmelie has a bad 2nd rehearsal she could drop significantly (I'm using her as an example cause it's the Danish thread :D )

Its okay Matt :)

This year I won't put to much in to the outcome of the games in here either  , like in 2010, 2013 are a year with several favorites

PS It is not every year that Denmark gets so many votes on the country page..... so fast

And nothing is for certain. If Loreen would have fallen off stage during her interpretive dance she probably wouldn't have won either. There are so many factors contributing to a song's success....you just never know.

If Loreen would have fallen off stage....... Matt that you even think about it :( I would never ever think such a thing not even for Ukraine..... never
I just hope that Robin from Sweden doesn't get to nevus ;)

I'm not saying I was hoping for her to fall offstage ;). Just picked a random mishap, certain aspects are out of your control sometimes. I wish every artist a flawless performance.

I completely agree (especially Soluna) and I suppose thats why Denmark doesn't get the attention they deserve. I however don't agree with the experimental part at all because those countries (unless your overhyped countries like Sweden or Norway) always get dismissed and not praised.

Your right Denmark doesn't need any of that but if would be nice if they did get credit for being consistantly good and not just aknowledged when all other favorites have underperformed to expecatations. Also for not falling into the extravaganza camp trap that most countries do when you choose an entry. Only Teardrops could have easily fallen into that catagory in the hands of another country.

I really don't understand where you're getting the data from. I checked the betting odds from march 15th 2012 and look where Denmark was

Top10
1. :se: Sweden - 3.05
2. :ru: Russia - 8.5
3. :dk: Denmark - 13
4. :it: Italy - 13.5
5. :rs: Serbia - 17.5
6. :es: Spain - 24
7. :uk: United Kingdom - 28
8. :ie: Ireland - 28
9. :is: Iceland - 28
10. Norway - 30

So right behind the two top favorites. So I couldn't disagree with you, I really don't understand where you pull that data from. If anything, Denmark gets more credit than most countries.

I can't remember the last time Denmark was number one at the bookmakers for more than 7 weeks normally we start to drop down the ranking the day after the Swedish selection and 91 persons in here has given 12 pts. what going on .......

I totally agree... where have I heard this before... mix off different songs.... bit disappointing after reading its number one in lots of polls???

For me this is overrated. Its not bad. Its average. Its a sign of a weak year that this is the favourite.
