I'll be changing my vote from 6 to 7 points because it's awesome.

The song is in my top 10, but not in my top 5. I think I'm the only one who have Denmark somewhere between 6th and 10th.

WOW within four days Denmark has gone from 2 to 7 points I bet that in April Denmark is in our top 5 :p

While in recent years I have been disappointed with the Danish entries, that is not the case with Only Teardrops. A massive improvement from last years entry (which I voted 3).

and she's so artificial.

o_O

...

Care to elaborate? I don't really see what's artificial or fake about her. Imo she looks quite natural and personality-wise she's one of the most down-to-earth, humble persons I've seen in ESC.

Love this song! Very instant catchy and Emmelie is a great singer and performer (No worry about vocals for her!). Definately a contender to win.

If this was Sweden or Norway it would be called a ladnside winner by everyone here but since its Denmark its only considered one of the favorites. I always get the feeling that Denmark is the bastard child of Scandinavia or something. People always seem to bend over backwards to dismiss or find something wrong with them. There is always extreme hype with Sweden and an extent Norway and Iceland because they always seem to pander to the typical gay Eurovision fans whereas Denmark always tries to reach to common person who doesn't follow the contest hardcore.

Always been like that. Guess we've learned to live with the role as the undermined little brother who never got things served on a plate...according to the rest of Scandinavia we're just a people of politically incorrect, lower-class, drunk bastards with an ugly language, which is probably also why we never get full credit for our songs. Our role as the outcast of Scandinavia is generally quite comparable to Slovenia in the Balcan-area.

If Emmelie had represented Sweden there would indeed have been a massive fan-wank on the forum, and vice versa, had Robin represented Denmark people wouldn't hesitate to call it bland, boring, generic, etc., he never would've got as positive reviews as he's currently getting in their thread. Same goes for Margaret and Norway btw.

Oh my God,look WHO is talking,
one of the most jury friendly country in the contest,
the one who took top5 places in 2010 & 2011 with the most bland & generic songs.

What's up with the Danish pity party? The last time I checked they were Number one in the betting odds and along with Norway the clear favorite. They have been receiving high points from all Scandinavian countries for many years so I don't buy this poor Denmark talk.

I personally think Denmark should be ranked lower this year cause your song IMO sucks but it's apparent that it's highly popular and for the most part considered the one to beat. So the fact that Denmark is being ignored to me is a bit laughable.

Indeed, I'm sure I don't know what these people are talking about. They should be complaining about undeserved hypes if they were honest, not the other way around. Why don't they get a trendy tune to go like "deliiiiirious..."? That would fit them

Although I (personally, subjectively) think that Norway's song this year is (even) stronger than Denmark's one, I agree with No Name on this certain 'Inside-Scandinavia-part' of this matter; as I somehow have the same impression... :?

But still and nevertheless - there's absolutely no reason for 'lovely Denmark' to moan so early this year, I think. ;)

Are you joking?
Denmark is the big favourite at this point (undeservedly so, as I think Norway is better) and the Swedish song was kind of badly received in this forum. Plus, except for last year Denmark always finished well, and mostly with generic bland and even dated boring songs, always being fanwanks (see 2010).
You're just being absolutely ridiculous. All that because Soluna finished in the bottom 5 last year, with yet another middle of the road bland pop song?

And this stupid discussion got my 1000th post .

Its not a pity party just an observation of how the Danish entry is always treated in comparison to the other Scandinavian countries. Do you people are really think if Denmark had sent You or Feed You My Love people on here would be fanwaking it as hard as they are for Sweden and Norway now? I don't think so, people would be saying FYMY would do no better than midtable and would claim that You was on the bubble may not qualify (especially with Robin). Only reason Denmark is getting real hype this year is because they stepped ouside the box and sent a song that does pander more to the typical Eurovision gays who dominate the internet. Even with all the hype its still nowhere near what the hype would be if it was Sweden, Norway or even Iceland. Even now those people who are praising it only do so grudgingly. Normally they alway roll their eyes and say typical Demark boring, bland MOR do something different for once while at the same time constantly going on about how fantasic Sweden and Norway are even thoguh they to have a typical style they always send.

Denmark is considered a jury favorite because they always send a quality entry and put on a great show. They aren't always a favorite though as last year proved.

The closest Melodifestivalen has tried to typical Danish entry is Andreas Johnson and evey year he enters everyone in the Sweden thread trashes him and tells him to go away and never enter again. I know soft pop-rock or wheverever you want to call it isn't or never will be among the top favorite genres of the Eurovision gays. And if they do they stay quiet.
