The weakest Nordic country, always been so in my opinion, and this year too. :?

Actually, if counting since the beginning of ESC, I think Iceland is the weakest Nordic country. Denmark for me is right in the middle of my all time scoreboard.

I don't see why all of this royal blood stuff is important nor having austrian blood is important... She could have been Swedish for all that I care and represent DK with that fine song XD
ESC fans is way too patriotic... Dunno why that keeps surprising me XD Vote for the songs not for their nationality no matter how far or close related they are XD

Well, you have to admit it spice things up a bit. Being royal (even if it was on the side) doesn't hurt at all. :D

Being anti-royalist it only hurts for me if I ever should care about it :)

A very good NF yesterday (also the performance by Herreys)

My ranking:
1. Daze - We own the universe
2. Simone Egeriis - Awake
3. Emmelie de Forest - Only teardrops
4. Kate Hall - I am not alone
5. Louise Dubiel - Rejs dig op
6. Mohamed - Unbreakable
7. Albin - Beautiful to me
8. Frederikke - Jeg har hele tiden vidst det
9. Jack Rowan feat. Sam Gray - Invincible
10. Niels Brinck - Human

Even though it was only my Nr.3 yesterday, I really like "Only teardrops" (After listening to it a few times - and it gets better and better witch each time listening to it). So 8 points from me.

I have seen the video of the winner more than 5 times,
but i have just realized that one of the drummers is the same person who is playing the flute!:oops:

Good song, and good expectations for the final (becausei it's pretty obvious this will go through) after the super Soluna's flop.
Well done, Denmark

8 pts from me

I just dont understand all those 12 points. For this??? The song starts ok and then nothing happens. Plus that fake flute is annoying.

I just watched the final on DR's website, and the more times I listen to this song the less I like it. Usually it's the opposite way around. The chorus is outright annoying and repetitive. Emmelie is likeable, but not that special. Just like Soluna.

For me the best song and performance was definitely Unbreakable. Mohamed's singing was not as bad as some of the drama-queens on here make it out to be. Out of all the jurors Kato is the one with most contact with the current music scene and he obviously gave Unbreakable top points. Only Teardrops is not a step forward imo.

I don't understand why people see so much potential in this entry, when they didn't believe in Soluna? Cuz to me it's the same deal. Seemingly "alternative" girl sings "deep felt" song and creates a "down-to-earth-singer-songwriter-attitude".

In my opinion it all comes down to this - There are never amazing songs in DMGP and the winner song was quite simply bad. Unbreakable wasn't an amazing or original song at all, but at least it had a somewhat catchy chorus and a good performer. Better luck next year Denmark :)

I have to disagree, "Unbreakable" was pretty generic imo and a bit better than Danny's "Amazing" ... but not that much better.

But taste differs.

My favorite was Fredrikke xcheer

The one song I don't get the love for was Simone's though? That was one big generic fest!

I can agree that Simone's song sucked, but I'd take her performance over Emmelie's any day. I've had enough with these barefooted girls trying to be cute and whimsical. Leave it to Björk or Alanis Morissette!

To be honest I immediately thought Frederikke's song sounded like a bad parody of Medina.

In a final where all acts are generic, it's all about which song is the catchiest and most tolerable, and for me that was Unbreakable.

I believe with a different production (the beat) and backup (stage performance) Fredrikke would have wiped the floor with the rest.

That's why I liked Fredrikke, tbh it was the song that mostly sounded like contemporary Danish- language dance-pop music to my ears. It did give me Medina and Svendstrup vibes and I've been longing for an entry like that because I tend to party to music like that xcheer

Ubreakable gave me Danny - Amazing flashbacks, and considering my loath for that song I just can't bare myself liking Unbreakable (although I admit Mohamed's song was a bit better).

The song is nice and she really lifts this with her performance.

It kinda reminds me of Slovakia 2010 except with much better execution.

Yes, i agree with this completely. I'm surprised more haven't seen the obvious connection with "Horehronie".
