3rd position at the odds will remain mistery for me. :D They deserve their best placement for sure, but victory, I just don't know.

A country that its best place so far is 25th will win? Will be interesting!

A country, whose best placement was 6th and whose qualification rate was below 30%, still won last year. Anything can happen. The same goes for :bg:, did anyone expect them to send 3 great entries in a row after these tragic entries back in 2000's/2010's? Apart from Na Inat and few others, the remaining ones were beyond dreadful...

If CZ really win then this will be a good message to all countries with bad result and many nq that they can keep trying!

Provided that some countries with awful results such as :sl:, :me: and :is: (in recent years for the latter) are suceeding in making some efforts, I believe that they'll finally manage to sneak at least into the final.

Furthermore, these efforts can somehow be embodied by the determination of :sm: to do something great: 1in360 was actually a good attempt at shaping up a well-organized selection process. :)

Our HoD mentioned in an interview that they plan to use national final in the selection process next year as well - be it in the form of this year's NF or something bigger.
He also mentioned they are confident this year and motivated by the public reaction so far.

This is so redeeming, thx! Amazing news so far from the :cz:. xheat

Leaving aside the already sweetened and still a bit unpleasant lyrics, I really like the song and think Mikolas is an amazing performer and has a fantastic live. Sadly, I believe he's not going to place as high as it was expected when the song was revealed, especially because of the rise of Israel and Bulgaria's entries. I expect (and hope for) a tope 5 but it looks like the fire of this entry is extinguishing... xcry1

By the way, tell him to leave that backpack out of the stage please. It feels really strange to see him dancing with the backpack (I guess it's like running with a backpack, the absolute worst:lol:).

But how is this trying? It's not particularly good or interesting xshrug

Everyone can get better, but a country shouldn't win because they step up their game a bit, they should win because they have their best entry amongst their competitors...

And one thing I don't understand, why Swedish entry is called crap this year, and Czech's entry highly praised? I don't really see the difference between them, both are American mainstream kind of songs interpreted by pretty boys?! I am one in minority that prefer Sweden over this. xthink xshrug If someone really has good argument, I would like to hear it, and not just because Czech Rep. are unsuccessful, and Sweden successful kind of thing.

Well, i agree! I'm not a fan of CZ entry but looks like many people like it. So many that it got a lot of hype making many people believe that it can win. We will see if CZ is really that strong or it will flop at the end!

I don´t think, this will win. 6 points from me, but I´m curious about the performance.

With dancers and backpack, and he will pull something out of backpack. :D That is what he has said. :D

I also don't think we will win, but sneaking in the top 10 would be the same as victory to us.

Other thing I would like to highlight is that the whole song, including music, lyrics, production and music video direction, was done by Mikolas himself and without Eurovision in mind. In this sense, the entry is truly authentic and it deserves some recognition, especially if we compare it to some other songs, which were specifically crafted for Eurovision, bought from foreign writers etc.
And yeah, A-Lister mentioned this sounds like something made in living room - that is completely true - Mikolas recorded this song himself in his own studio in his living room. Despite that, I don't hear any major flaws in its production value - it doesn't sound unpolished to me. Minimal, maybe - but not unpolished nor bad production-wise.

Well, I prefer Mikolas to win over Australia, any day, if I have to choose between them, in top 4 in the odds. At least this entry is catchy and has some life in it, on the contrary of Australian cliche song. :D

I can't see it winning I think Israel, Bulgaria or Estonia will win as much as I would love Czech Republic to win.

Hahah, that's me, I see many potential winners this year! ;) All these people in top 10 at the odds now, I am not sure who of them could be high with both juries and public, so we could get some "default winner", like Azerbaijan 2011. Czech Republic has some potential, only juries could rank him lower maybe, but not too low, maybe from 5-10th place.

I just checked out the Czech thread on the other forum and realized that it's mostly about diarrhea these days. Then I came here because I felt like mentioning what I have discovered.
