Well, I am not happy, obviously, but to be completely honest, I knew we are not qualifying from the moment of Czech performance. Vocally, they were perfect and I was proud of them. But, somehow... I finally realized what some people meant by "it´s good, but not good enough". Despite the strong voices, Hope Never Dies is actually quite subtle composition, lacking that "punch", "wow factor", "in your face" or whatever you want to call it. It´s a very nice song and after months of listening to it, it definitely has a special place in my heart. But I understand now it´s probably not the right "Eurovision song". So, for me, it was kind of expected (even though I was slightly shocked by Poland or Cyprus qualifying) and it´s not like Marta and Václav are dying or something.
But let´s face it - it probably means a definitive end of Czech participation in Eurovision.
