Dreamt of you last night
Woke up, you weren't there
Five nights in a row
Of dreams I've never shared

You come without a warning
Early in the morning
Timing's never been our thing
Leaving me with guilt
The only souvenir you bring

I'm with him and you're a secret treasure
He's devotion, you're a guilty pleasure
I'm with him and this is real life, honey
Guess the joke's no longer funny

I'm with him until the death do us part
But it doesn't do for this hungry heart
I'm with him, but in my frantic head
You always come and say:

"Would you run away?"
"Would you run away with me?"
"Would you run away?"
"Would you run away?"

One love is enough
That's all you ever get
Least that's what they tell you
Still, I can't forget

Eyes like burning ashes
Till the sunlight flashes
Can't be cold, but I've been taught
Captivated by the
Thunderstorm in which I'm caught

I'm with him and you're a secret treasure
He's devotion, you're a guilty pleasure
I'm with him and this is real life, honey
Guess the joke's no longer funny

I'm with him until the death do us part,
But it doesn't do for this hungry heart
I'm with him, but in my frantic head
You always come and say:

"Would you run away?" (Would you run away?)
"Would you run away with me?"
"Would you run away?" (Would you run away?)
"Would you run away?"

(Would you run away?)
In this real life, there's no way
In this real life, I have to say (Would you run away?)
In this real life, there's no way
In this real life

I'm with him and you're a secret treasure
He's devotion, you're a guilty pleasure
I'm with him and this is real life, honey
Guess the joke's no longer funny

I'm with him until the death do us part,
But it doesn't do for this hungry heart
I'm with him, but in my frantic head
You always come and say, say, say:

"Would you run away?" (Would you run away?)
"Would you run away with me?"
"Would you run away?" (Would you run away?)
"Would you run away?"

(Would you run away?)
In this real life, there's no way (Would you run away?)
In this real life, I have to say (Would you run away?)
In this real life, there's no way (Would you run away?)
In this real life

Yes, you're right. They will be released on a radio show and after that uploaded on HRT site.

It's a bit weird to come here after a while and see my map as the most recent post here. :D

To give more details:
The map shows where the artists grew up, city of origin was used for Bernarda. Ella Orešković was born in Canada and moved to Zagreb 12 years ago (I didn't find which city she was born in, but it's probably somewhere in Ontario). Bernarda was born in Dietikon, Switzerland, while Jessa (Jessica Atlić-McColgan) was born in Bogota, Colombia due to the nature of her father's job (she didn't say what job is that). She said for HRT's Dobro jutro Hrvatska (Good morning, Croatia) TV show that she moved to Zadar when she was 4 and finished the elementary school and high school there, and considers Zadar her hometown. She now lives and studies in Dublin, Ireland. As her last name shows, she is half Irish.

This is the first Dora ever without a single artist from Split. This is significant because Split artists tend to do well in Dora, and these are only the winners:
1995 | Magazin (6th in Eurovision)
1996 | Maja Blagdan (4th)
1998 | Danijela Martinović (5th)
1999 | Doris Dragović (4th)
2000 | Goran Karan (9th)
2006 | Severina (12th)
2009 | Igor Cukrov (18th)
2019 | Roko (NQ)
2021 | Albina (NQ)

Anyway, I decided to start an account about Dora on Twitter, since HRT's official one basically died. And they shared very little even when it was still alive. You are free to follow the account (@dora_croatia), I'm really trying to follow everything and to include fun facts. :D

Tomorrow is Marko Bošnjak's birthday, he is one of the artists that will compete in Dora for the first time. He announced that he will publish his very first song on his birthday. Maybe we'll know what to expect from him in Dora based on that song.

EDIT: Marko published in his Instagram story that he is focusing on Dora only, and that the promised single WILL NOT be published tomorrow on his birthday. It will have to wait until after Dora.
Jessica's Father is a retired diplomat. Mentioned in

* JESSA: From Dnevnik HR interview 5 days ago. ''Moje puno ime je Jessica Atlić McCaulgan, rođena sam u Kolumbiji zato što mi je tata bio diplomat, puno smo putovali i baš sam živjela na skoro svim kontinentima'', rekla je na početku.

Half Croatian 🇭🇷/Half Irish 🇮🇪 Not a bad combo... At least she can sing in English/IRISH without any accent. And grab a few million votes... everybody loves the Irish... 😏 And with * 7 wins most successful country ever in Eurovision Finals 👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀

And the next verse goes like "I ne daj nikad vise da me druga ljubi" 🤣🤣

Alka's son works for some London based label as a producer, maybe that's why...

She wrote a bunch of lyrics and she's actually much better songwriter (lyricist) than singer. For example, she wrote "Dotakni me usnama", "Lijepa bez duše" (although it's cover of an Italian song, so I'm not sure how similar it is to the original, but she translated/adjusted it to suit Croatian).

So we have 5 returnees from 2021. Looking forward to Bernarda's and ToMa's entries as I really enjoy their last year's entries especially Bernarda's one.

Yup, 5 from 2021.

My predictions based on interviews and/or my feeling:

Ella Oreskovic- mid to upbeat (mentioned dancers)

Mila Elegović- ballad/slow (she's 51 and an actress, not a singer)

Erik Vidović- upbeat (said so himself)

Mia Dimšić- midtempo (I guess just her usual stuff, an acoustic guitar/ ukulele song)

ToMa- upbeat (kind of said so, but it could also be midtempo with stronger beat and darker than last year)

Tina Vukov- ballad/slow (based on her previous songs and authors involved)

Zdenka Kovačič- midtempo to upbeat (rock, jazzy/funk) (I think it's a "feel good song")

Tia- ballad/slow with modern production/beat (based on production team and what she said (alone on stage, mentioned conveying emotions))

Elis Lovric- mid to upbeat (she called the song "a space bomb"... Whatever...)

Roko Vuskovic- ballad/slow (mentioned classical musicians)

Bernarda- ballad/slow (said so herself, softer than last year)

Jessa- mid to upbeat (called the song catchy)

Mia Negovetić- ballad/slow (she said so)

Marko Bošnjak- ballad/slow with modern production/beat (based on production team and going by the Title "Moli za nas" or "Pray for us")

Hey, I hadn't been here for a while but yeah, I saw that she said it later. Thanks. :)

We're getting Dora songs in less than 48 hours, I can't wait!!

Yeah, me too! Although, I must admit I don't really have big expectations. Which is ok, because probably I won't get disappointed. At least not too much.

More than anything, I'm looking forward to hear Tia's, Marko's and Ella's songs, because they have max 1 song out, so I can't be sure what to expect.

I decided that this year, I'm approaching everything with an open mind and open heart. As you said...I'm looking forward to hearing some songs, but I'm not expecting anything. This has already saved me so much stress in other selections, more specifically Benidorm and Sanremo. :D I had no favs before we saw it all on the stage. We'll see if I will be able to not get attached to certain songs in our own NF before Dora, I guess it will be harder when it's my own counry. :D

But so far, I'm most looking forward to hear Tina Vukov. She was robbed at least twice in Dora. After her, I'm looking forward to hear basically everyone except Mila and Zdenka. :D Maybe they'll have good songs, but I doubt they will have something competitive for Top 5 in Dora.

Good start to Dora 2022! Marko and Tia are both out. Both modern tracks probably lacking the oomph to win but enjoyable nonetheless,.
