Does it get airplay in Croatia?

Not really. I think I heard it twice on the radio after it premiered, and it was not even played randomly, but as a part of the occasion because there was an interview with Franka going on.

In the meantime, her older song "S tobom" gets played on the radio almost every day.
My radio is always ON when I drive to work or home from work so I can confirm.

The first seconds of the verses, when she starts to sing, reminded me of another ESC song and I couldn't figure out which one until just now: Safura's drip drop!
Before I launch a plagiarism drama-debate here again: NO! I don't think this is stolen, it just triggered the other song in my head. xshifty

I´m going to be honest right now: If we get eliminated, I won´t be upset, because this song just does not do anything for me. National pride alone is not enough for me to root for it.

This is a really strange case, because I don´t think the song itself is bad. The production quality is good and the R&B instrumental sounds good.
But the song just feels........I dunno....empty, sterile, emotionless, no soul, no substance etc.

I have seen so many reactions and reviews for our song. 5% people think its amazing, 5% think its trash and 90% think its good or okay, nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe the live stage show will change my impressions, you never know.
But otherwise, I´m really not feeling our song this year. Whatsoever.

As for Franka, I actually would feel bad for her.
The plagiarism allegations did a lot of damage to her. She was really passionate about going to ESC, but someone recently said that both her and her team are being very pessimistic and are saying that their whole project went downhill. They said that they have already prepared for the worst outcome.

Sigh, it really sucks when something that you were passionate for invokes nothing but bad emotions now. I hope Franka recovers and just makes the most out of her time there, not really caring about the result.

I agree with your opinion, very good analysis.

Only would slightly disagree about plagiarism. As for plagiarism accusations, I think it is very clear there is nothing to do with plagiarism but with mistake of one of song's authors. As well, I do not think anybody from devoted esc fans (who anyway will follow whole case) and Croatian (eventually Romanian) small number of people even will care about her "plagiarism". Furthermore, ever esc season there are plagiarism accusations and that's something artists should be prepared. On night of performance I doubt that even 0,1% of audience of 200 million people will have on mind plagiarism accusations.
As Franka feels bad about project only can be because she made worst decision regarding song! She went with risky choice hoping for the best and expecting to be love-hate song but actually, it turned out to be all opposite - that nobody cares. Long time passed and there was a lot of hype around her as artist. And since song is out, big majority is very disappointed with her choice. It doesn't have negative reviews but it doesn't produce anything in people, just big nothing! She hoped to be different, cool or I do not know what but all idea about her esc song is big miss and I think she finally realizes and accepts this. As on first, reactions are not articulated but nothing changed since moment song is out. Simply, there were a lot of interest around her as artist and I think now she slowly realizes how she wasted her so long awaited opportunity to go at eurovision! She could do it much, much better!
So now calling trying to find excuse in plagiarism and that it affected Franka a lot and that much; I do not believe it and I think it is only excuse. After all, if she so honestly believes in her project and song why she would care about this as 99,99% people do not care about this accusations!
I think it is more about that she has lost faith in her project as she expected love-hate but it was all she didn't expect...

About her chances for final? I wouldn't say they are so low. After all, if jury favors her, she can make it all way through jury only - like Denmark did last year for example. Even Czech Republic almost made it last year. However, televote doesn't need to be disaster. If she delivers performance well and there surely will be some songs that will downgrade their chances with performance (as every year there are some misses despite good idea about it), maybe televote doesn't need to be that bad.
All in all, I would say your words at beginning: If we get eliminated, I won´t be upset, because this song just does not do anything for me. National pride alone is not enough for me to root for it.
And it is such shame it is like that because Franka is amazing artist and talent that has all qualities to be top esc performer! But she ruined many chances with wrong song unfortunately.

No no, I brought up the whole plagiarism scandal just to explain how much damage it did to Franka, not to actually accuse or show doubt.
I don´t actually believe that Franka is in the wrong here.

As for our chances....well even if we squeeze through somehow, it kinda woudn´t feel right cause it would seem that we snatched a spot from a potentially better songs. I can tell you right of the bat that there are at least 10 other songs that I prefer more.

Jury vote is not guaranteed. There could very likely ignore us and give it to someone else. Woudn´t be the first time. Lots of songs, lots of performances. They can´t give attention to everyone.

I somehow found my early love for this one again! That looks like a solid staging with decent vocals so I really hope for a surprise qualification for :hr:!

Just me or this totally overshadows Latvia in SF2? The genre is similar and the staging as well (I guess), but the Croatian song is way stronger and catchier.

I just saw that clip from the official channel, the wiwibloggs review and a part of the press conference and must say: WOW!
Biggest grower for me. Such a song with such a performance MUST be in the final.
But the competition in semi1 is soooo incredibly hard. Swap Croatia with any entry from semi2 and the qualification would be 100% sure.
