hehe... good comparision! Although I really dislike shopping, so cant really relate to it personally.... But I had the same feeling; some people felt let down after the teaser. I didnt put much into the teaser, just listened to it once without giving it any more thought.

It was the first thing that came to my mind, I thought you might not be able to relate to shopping, but was sure you'll get the idea...

I find the song rather sexy, actually. The feel and the mood - and some very interesting instrumentations going on in the background. This is well done!!!

Yes, and I like that it's sexy, but not cheap kind of sexy, it's not slutty. It's seductive and it's done with class. ^^

The ending of the song is actually the one thing I dont like too much about it. It feels very abrupt. "oops, the 3 minutes are over....we need to finish thi....Lo-o-o-ove..."

I couldn't put this better myself. Also, maybe we can put part of the blame on the last "crazy". It isn't really on point, she missed that last note. If it sounds "empty" like that in studio version, I'm a bit afraid of what we'll hear in the live performance... And maybe if they dropped that speaking part, they could do something better with that ending...

I think that so far everything works but the song...and that is a problem.
The staging will either make it or break it, they have to make it interesting & spectacular and also emphasize the lo-o-o-ove part because there is no other part which can serve as a hook.

I think that Lighthouse was a much better song but the staging & poor performance killed it.Crazy is not bad but it's a missed opportunity for Franka.The right song could've elevated her to the top of the board.

Wouldn't be the first time they got it wrong. Besides, it's still too early for them to be right. Some countries above Croatia haven't even released their songs yet.
Usually everything starts changing on those betting sites when rehearsals start.
I actually expect this one to rise in the table and countries like Finland to drop significantly, and for example Estonia to flop in its semi, or at least in the final.

Franka was one of most hyped artists this year before song announcement and after it nobody cares to comment here...interest for her entry has vanished it seems...
Whatever one would be thinking, last year Jacques really was commented - either in hate or love way, but that duet for one made impact...something we can't say for Franka unfortunately...

Franka had my sympathies from the moment I saw her in the Wiwibloggs interview. It's always pleasant to see someone who acts like a normal human in the usual line of artificial divas full of themselves (Jacques Houdek, his fans please forgive me, was one of these). However, I think that after that interview and her previous songs many people expected something different from Franka (probably something more subtle and ethereal). Crazy is more aggressive style of song which I can easily imagine being sung by someone like Nina Simone or Shirley Bassey. Franka sings it very well, so I am not complaining, it just maybe doesn't suit her image and that - imho - could be the reason of somewhat reserved reception of it. Other reason is obviously that SF1 is going to be a nasty bloody massacre and that increases criteria for qualifying.

Why not at all? A lot will depend on staging. And I think it could be jury friendly.
Last year Martina Bartha had second highest odds to qualify before rehearsals and by far highest odds during rehearsals. On betfair you could get odds of 30 for Czech Republic to qualify. Risk 10€, get 300€ back.
In the end, she got 81 points from juries alone and wasn't that far away like everyone expected. In the other semi Denmark qualified with 96 points from juries and only 5 points from televoters.

I can assure you that this is very, very subjective. I find it dynamic and eventful, despite banal lyrics and questionable spoken word part, which unfortunately makes the song stop for a moment. I love the heartbeat, love Franka's confident, deep and very well nuanced voice, and I also love some little ideas in the video which can be used and developed on stage. Like the symbolism of sand and smoke when she's "starving" for his love and of water when she calms down for a moment, recalling pleasant memories with this unnamed and unseen Him. Since there will be no LED screens this year, I have no idea how it could be translated on stage without dancers changing their movements from agonic (sand) to flowing (water), but I'm still hoping that HRT people wil either come up with something we don't know about yet, or reconsider their original plan to have only Franka alone on stage. Crazy is definitely a good material to work with and I believe that if they get it right, Franka is not necessarily a hopeless non-qualifier.

I copy your 10 points (actually this year 10 is the highest amount of points that I have given to any song....
I also agree with you that probably Franka's main obstacle this year is not the song - but being in the first semi. Franka will also have to compete with Sennek. I think they both will fight for the same votes (at least I like both songs, both voices, and both the songs give me a classy, laid-back, sexy feeling).
