Israel won't withdraw next year xthink How could they hesitate?

Maybe they are trying to figure out a way to participate without broadcasting the entry of Israel ?
For example, they could ask EBU to take part in Semifinal 1.

What if Israel qualifies, though...?

If :am: & :az: can deal each other (as well :ru: with :ge: & :ua:) why not Lebanon can participate as well?

I'm not familiar with the subject, but I guess they have anti-Israel laws, hence why they won't (can't?) show anything Israel-related. I don't think any of the countries you mentioned went that far, aren't they?

They withdrew in 2005 for that reason, so if they didn't mind sabotaging their very debut, I fail to see why they would be willing to turn a blind eye on Israel participation now xthink I wish that would change though

I've read in some places that Lebanon's law that stopped them from broadcasting any Israeli content on tv has been reverted but I have no idea if that is true or not

Pretty sure we're sitting on 40 at the moment, with chances to maybe see another one or two joining... I think we're safe enough. Something would have to go pretty wrong to have three or more countries withdraw at this stage.

Heck, something would have to go pretty wrong for one or more countries to withdraw at this stage.

I think we won't have less than 40.
Australia is a possible candidate to join.
Turkey, Bosnia, Croatia and Lebanan are questionmarks but probably they are all out.

Befair are taking bets for who will join in 2017:

Kazakhstan 11/8
China 4/1
USA 7/1
Catalonia 8/1
South Korea 8/1
Faroe Islands 12/1
Chile 14/1
Kosovo 16/1

Not exactly anything to do with ESC 2016 but I thought I would post it

That's the point, isn't it? Bunch of random countries at low odds = profit for bookmakers. I mean, seriously, British bookies are even taking bets on which footballer will come out as gay next, etc. It will all just generate revenue and profit for them.

I would like to see Japan or Peru participate.
Is this thread now the new wish list for random countries?
