When that outro hits
That outro is quite honestly one of the best pieces of any song i've heard. No words can describe it. Then on top of it we've got them hot ethno elements through out the song. I can't believe they gave us a sequel to the original that doesn't suck. Scratch that, I can believe it because it's Azerbaijan and they know how to produce an absolute hit.

It's finally here and Efendi reigns supreme once again in my ranking. It's everything I was hoping it would be and more, I was really not hopeful she'd deliver twice, but omg Efendi really is that bish. I love how Azerbaijan basically followed the same song structure as last year basically saying "fuck your cancellation and disqualification of entries, we'll send a bop with that mood no matter what". That outro. Not to mention the Cleopatra reference.

I love how we both posted at the same time with an almost identical post structure & content, being hyped for this song.

On the positive side: Efendi's done a better job of capturing the vibe of her original song than just about anyone in ESC this year--even Uku, who's basically sent the same song. I even think she's improved it around the edges - that outro is really quite good.
On the negative side: it's a lonnnnnnng journey to that outdo, and it kind of struggled to keep my focus until then.
I'll give it a all things considered.

This is a small step up from Cleopatra imo, but not by much. Cleopatra was just outside of my top 10 last year, and Mata Hari also ends up just outside my top 10 this year. It's a from me.

And I love that Turkish music from 02:05, it is smth like Konyalim..isn't it?
We never had this in ESC..only in 2006 with Rimi Rimi ley, but it was more like Western Anatolia/Bursa/Eskisehir region
When I hear this music at 02:05 I feel I'm in Konya and surrounding villages..
Goosh ADORE Turkey, I hope I go to Turkey for May 1st this year to climb Uludag mountains..
When I can't go to The Netherlands for ESC..
