Sorry to say it but it really feels like the azeris really have made their way into and are paying off many, many jury groups. As I see it they won't stop anytime soon either. When they get caught I really hope EBU should ban them.

Being in Malmo I heard a lot of things about Azerbaijan that I can't get into but I heard that there was some alleged video out about buying the votes. I was travelling yesterday so I didn't get to see any of that so I wonder what's going on. To me it was a medicore with beautiful Staging and it's itneresting that a Eastern country with a Western song for the most part receives points from the East. But just as with many other songs, we need to wait for the split results before rushing to conclusions.

There is something called TASTES. And these do differ, believe it or not. Just because all your friends didn't like the song, it doesn't mean that the votes were bought. Thank God most of us don't have 5-6 million friends

You sound ridiculous.

In fact, today I was on the bus going to college and I heard a group of people discussing Eurovision. They were saying what a shame it was that Ireland got only 5 points and they have all agreed that Denmark and Azerbaijan deserved what they got. I have heard lots of people from Ireland commenting that Azerbaijan were great this year. However, Ireland gave Azerbaijan only two points in the final because people did not vote for them. While in other countries people did vote for them. No need to be so hateful just because you didn't like the entry.

Deserved result for Azerbaijan!

Did not like the song that much, but it was offered a very professional and effective show on stage! Congrats!

During the rehearsals they explained what they meant with the staging. It was some long, difficult story about inner selves and love and whatnot, nothing gay in it. I really didn't give a damn about it, but it does work beautifully and it did convey a poor song a life of its own.
I wonder who has been the clever mind behind it?

That explanation doesn't stand up, there were too many reference to a hidden gay feeling especially when the two guys are close and the song says

Take a little time and you’ll know better
Then to think about giving in on the one you love
Here we’re going back and freeze the moment
When we used to be free, was only you and me

Now on youtube they disabled the comments, perfectly in line with the 0 freedom of expression in Azerbaijan.

So he's finally together...with the man in the box...The girl in the red dress must be pissed.

Dina's looking over at them thinking what she can write in her next fanfiction. I guess she meant it when she said we should 'come together as one'

Oh Dina and Farid xrunhug

To me, this is the best Azeri entry ever. So classy! The interaction between Farid and the man inside the box (very beautiful - yet, they have to admit this is not the straightess thing ever ) and then the woman with the red dress! So beautiful! And everything was well sung. I wouldn't mind if this was the winner...

Best ESC song from Azerbaijan.

I "liked" this post because agree that this is great song, but should say that Always was the best Azerbaijan song and one of the best in ESC ever and should've won with a gap instead of Norway

I still think Sabina's still the best Azerbaijani entry to date. I always love Azerbaijan's entry every year, but this year, I wasn't that big of a fan. I still put Farid over Azerbaijan 2008 though. The homoerotic-ness of Farid's performance was what made it interesting because it's amusing that it's coming from a somewhat conservative country, and a wrestler...

I thought Eldar from 2011 seemed like a nice guy, but he turned into a creepy, peering eyed robot. :/
