Johann Sebastian Bass really start to look more and more like Trackshittaz and their song could become a huge flop at Eurovision. Last year the only fun song, which I loved, got last with meager 2 points.

DAWA and Makemakes are perfect and have Top 10 written all over them.

JSB is of course a joke entry, but I'd put them a level or two above Trackshittaz. Those were just vulgar, while JSB is a bit more refined.

But DAWA or Makemakes will have better chances anyway. Atm I'd prefer the latter.

i think that nazar was right in wanting to choose "ned au" for folkshilfe. the song is much better than "who you are" and they would have had better chances to win the nf.
but i guess from todays point of view there are four potential winners - dawa, the makemakes, jsb and folkshilfe. everything will depend on the performance in the final, maybe one of them can surprise the audience and make it that way.

one more thing to nazar - in the beginning i did not like him, but now i think that he is the only coach who took his job seriously. respect.

Johann Sebastian Bass really look bad in the charts. I also think that quickly writing a song for Eurovision was not the best idea. Conchita's song was already composed 5 years ago.

Songs like Heart of Stone or Love and Starve would have really been amazing at ESC

and absolutio is not a song that can be played on radio. i think thats important too.
too bad we are not in belarus or albania.... then we could just change the song to heart of stone :twisted:

At the beginning i wasn't really a fan of JSB. Anselm know it. But now i think they need to be defended. They are far away from being a joke-entry or joke-band.
I agree that 'heart of stone' was the best song of them they performed in the nf-shows, but i also like 'Monsters' a lot more than 'Absolutio'. I think the coaches should have selected 'Monsters'.

Makemakes had with 'million euro smile' a good first song in the nf-shows, but i would kinda call it bland. The other songs they performed after were a lot better. The coaches selected the right song here.

Some may not understand it but i really liked Folkshilfe from the beginning in the nf-shows. I like that folky, kinda crossover, original austrian style of music. After listenings to the 2 new songs i think 'Ned Au' would have been the better choice than 'who you are'. I also like 'who you are' but 'ned au' is better. 'Loss da helfn' was in my opinion the best song of them in the nf-shows. It has the feeling of the old Austropop-stars STS and Ambros-Fendrich-Danzer (Austria3).

For zoe the coaches made the right decision. The 2nd song doesn't really fit to her.

Also for Celina Ann and Dawa the imo. best song of the 2 was chosen.

All 6 are good and i'm really happy we have a selection like this. For every taste is something in the run. Not every country serves such a broad musical spectrum for the NF. I would be happy with every of the 6 representing Austria.

After several re-listenings, I really hope Austria is not going for JSB. The song is not good enough and it will be perceived as a call for austrian stereotypes. Which by the way is even more inappropriate as Johann Sebastian Bach, to whom they are referring to - has nothing to do with Austria.
I liked Monsters a whole lot more btw

Of the Johann Sebastian Bass songs I thought Monsters and Heart Of Stone were decent, but Absolutio sounds boring. Kathi Kallauch's Das Leben Ist Zu Kurz was a good effort.

Out of what I've seen,I like Makemakers and Zoe, but I'm afraid Zoe would fall under the 'nice' category, which isn't really promising and is also known as 'forgettable'.

Okay, finally got to hear the rest of the songs, the best NF of the year? I didn't dislike a single song honestly, except for my last placer maybe.
