As far as it goes for Eurovision, I like it. Watching it won't be boring on the show and in fact it will likely engage the viewer with the show. Not the type of song I'd add on my playlist but the type of song I'd enjoy watching at Eurovision. Giving :8:
This just in: Upgrading to one big juicy :12:

Comedy = trash
High Drama = Quality

Yeah, sure 🙄
Catchy in a pleasing way? Sexy? Give me a break. But people's music tastes are different so I will not go into a discussion. Eurovision Song Contest is becoming Eurovision Show Contest and with shock-factor entries (trash) while the good melody often is lost. Sign of the times.

This isn't trash. This is on par to the innuendos in Sabrina Carpenters songs or back in the day with Katy Perry lol. But because he's a male, and it's Australia. That's the truth.

I listen to music from Prince, so it reminded me of his song "Cream". It's cheeky, fun, and kinda sexy.

Switzerland 24 was trash, was it? No melodi, poor vocals?
I've heard this kind of whining since like forever, and what I always say is diversity. There's good and bad in all genres.

It reminded me of Ice cream by New Young Pony Club. ❤️

Easiest 12 of the year for me. Totally loved the song from the first few seconds the first time I heard it. It has a B52s feel to it, I think its cool, fun, and relevant beyond the contest. I wish it had different lyrics so that people could judge it on the song rather than dismiss it as a grubby novelty song.

Well Tommy Cash thought he would be the Käärijä of this year, but I think Go-Jo fits the bill this year. Not only a fun and unique song, he's also hot. And people were also horny for Käärijä/Baby Lasagna.

I'll give it a :10:

Very happy to give this a :10:; this is the most excited I've been by an Aussie entry for a while! Probably just beating out Voyager and tying with Sheldon as my favourite entry we've sent (which I know is... probably a rare opinion, but it's my opinion )

I've spent the last couple of years half-jokingly saying "I'd love to see us send Tom Cardy to Eurovision", and honestly, this is way closer than I thought we'd get - a 30-year-old-ish moustachioed bogan singing a groovy earworm with very corny lyrics 🔥

By the way, the EBU seems to have screwed up the upload on the Eurovision channel; it's slowed down (and subsequently also pitched down) compared to what's uploaded everywhere else! Compare the version on Go-Jo's channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fINC9xVmkmc), which runs for about 2:49 at 155bpm - same as what's on music platforms, SBS's upload to Facebook, the version played in promo videos, etc. - with the version on the ESC channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_08I6mjHSLA), which runs for about 2:56 at 149bpm.

Apparently something similar happened last year with the music video for Zari; hopefully the EBU fixes it before we have too many people getting used to the (presumably accidentally) slower/pitched-down version! If you've only watched it on the Eurovision channel so far, take a look at the other version!

Also, I've seen people sharing around a concert version of a previous song (Mrs. Hollywood) to try and see how he is live, but it seems very autotuned. This Triple J live performance of the same song seems less autotuned, and still sounds pretty good, if anyone wanted to check it out!

Me is with the "bring the jury back in semis" troop, but some fans always gatekeep fun song as a joke song to extremities.

Just because the music video and lyrics were very suggestive but you can't deny its value. This is not a trash song that be considered as a joke. This is art, worth protecting more than that pretentious artsy art in art conventions, figuratively.

It's a natural fun song, at least for me. 12 for now.

I gave 5 points but I think this song has potential to reach a top 10 position with good vocals and a fun staging. but its probably difficult to sing live.

Oh nooo, scandalo! xgiggle

Of course you can, that's your pov, who am me to judge? as far as me can see though, it's understandable :censored:

At the end of it all, songs are still subjective. To each their own.

I'm struggling to understand why this song is so divisive for the online ESC fans. I think this song would be openly enjoyed by more of the online ESC communities if he was representing any other country than Australia. Like to me he's not literally saying serving c***t or saying I'm coming, come with me 😂 This is a straight forward pop song with sexual innuendos, that would still be played on the radio with or without the contest. He's not just putting in an obscene sound alike word that makes no sense or has no context with the rest of the song like some others, just saying!

Maybe it has to with the fact that it‘s a man who‘s singing it. When a woman is sexually explicit, it‘s perceived as selfempowering (or also as obscene and indecent). When a (straight) man is, it‘s often perceived as aggressive or predatorial behaviour. (like bragging in a Andew Tate way).
Not sure, if that is any valid explanation. Just a thought that crossed my mind.
