The Milkshake Man is going to absolutely market correct Espresso Machiato and sabotage it's top 10 potential. Both of them will qualify, but won't be able to finish past the high teens. Right side of the board for both of them.

I really don't see them having the same appeal. Just because they're both uptempo conceptual songs about beverages I see Go-Jo having much more jury appeal and Tommy Cash having a broader televoting appeal, but even in the televoting I can't see them fighting for the same voters.

Ok. It's catchy and somehow funny. It's good enough but it'll have to grow on me, I'm not a fan.
Hope his milkshakes will bring all the boys to the yard...

I'm little worried this will flop unless they have a budget and deliver solid staging. He's a sexy man and I hope he just let's his charisma and quirky sense of humour speak for himself, if they go too overtly sexual like Olly did last year we have no chance

Now, this is a fun entry that I actually like!

It's very Mika, and I'm a huge fan of his.

I'm giving it an 8️⃣ !

I give it :6:A totally different approach from the usual Australian entries, enjoyable on first listening, but as has been said earlier, it remains to be seen if he can do it justice performing it live.

I'm struggling to understand why this song is so divisive for the online ESC fans. I think this song would be openly enjoyed by more of the online ESC communities if he was representing any other country than Australia. Like to me he's not literally saying serving c***t or saying I'm coming, come with me 😂 This is a straight forward pop song with sexual innuendos, that would still be played on the radio with or without the contest. He's not just putting in an obscene sound alike word that makes no sense or has no context with the rest of the song like some others, just saying!
One factor imo is the eurofans have recently been very critical of the songs that have a fun theme after Cha Cha Cha. After Cha Cha Cha's success, now every fun entry is compared to it and put under the assumption that "the artist is trying to copy what Käärijä did to success" as if novelty entries have never been a part of this entertainment. Last year was much worse than that but still this obsession has been taking over. It has reached such extreme point that even Croatia's Poison Cake was attributed to be a "joke entry" which is crazy to me.

I’m not quite sure that’s true. Yes, such comparisons have been made in the wake of Cha Cha Cha but I think that’s in the case of cynical ‘copies’ aiming to be the new Kaarija. Milkshake Man is not that to me - he feels like a ‘fun’ act from any era of the competition.

Joost was very much a cynical Kaarija copy in my opinion and Tommy is it this year, but neither had the genuine nature about them that I think Kaarija had. His performance while not my cup of tea was genuine to him I felt. Joost and Tommy were and are not genuine in their acts to me.

Milkshake Man while again not my cup of tea does at least feel like a genuine act that is jokey rather than cynically being jokey for ‘the memes’ and such.

This has also become my favourite this year. Still not a 12 from me, but easily my guilty pleasure (also visually) of the year.

The song has been a very fast fader for me unfortunately. Still more interesting than many other songs this year though. From 8 points to :6:!

I think there’s more than milk in his shake, man!

I think I’d like this more if it was another country, but I know Australia can do and has done better. Nonetheless you can’t deny they’ve gone full Eurovision and it gives me Windows 95 Guy vibes, so let’s see what they can do with the live staging.

I liked when he smashed the milkshake glass over his head.

And yeah, he’s pretty hot, so there’s that.

Likely qualifier in my opinion (we have favourable Big 5 votes in the semi) so at least that would be better than last year.

I’m going to harass SBS about doing Australia Decides again next year.

I'm leaning to thinking it's qualifying, as long as the performance and staging is fun enough to grab casual viewers attention?
