Such a jury favourite. And in a televote-only semi ...?
Australia only nqd with the televote twice, 2017 and 2021. Last year they won their semi. The semi televote is usually alot kinder to Australia than the final.

The staging looks a little cheap. Not much going on... I like the idea of the dress but the fabric looks cheap in video. We will see what happens but I'm getting NQ vibes :(

I'm getting the opposite - Zaachariaha just exudes magnetism, this one will pop in camera I reckon. Those vocals as well xheat xlove

the dress looks fine to me, I'm more worried about the compactness of the whole staging. As it is it seems like a bunch of random elements loosely strung together. But it's hard to tell from the scarce materials that we have available now.

EF are so talented. For real, such an amazing duo of artists.
However, the staging is giving 1 dollar budget. And it is not that creative. Even though we should not count them out, it is my biggest down from today.

Their 2019 entry was so much better than this one. This song does have some good moments, but overall, it is very messy and it has something very offputing in it. Perhaps the weakest :au: entry so far.

2 points.

I may be in the minority but this is 12 points for me. I love love LOVE it, I love every single bit of it. The modern house beat, Zach‘s outfit and calmness, the voice, the digeridoo, the choir and - ahh, those lyrics. Awesome!
This is something that could be on the radio and I listen to it on an almost daily basis. It’s a feelgood song actually and I am feeling light and bright when listening to it. It’s like embracing a ray of sunshine.

That second rehearsal clip, this is such a cheap performance. Even Ricki Lee's Aus Idol performance had better staging and more budget. There is no way in hell this is qualifying.

Yeah the rehearsal clip left some to be desired… I love the colors and the presence of the man with the didgideridoo - but those backing vocals need to be turned down… and I’m not sure why they’re even there in the first place? I’d prefer two backing people with the didgideridoo tbh

In an all-televote semi, I don't see how the didgeridoo player doesn't will this into the final unless and possibly even if the performance is a hot mess vocally.

on this first picture, is that kind of Z's signature move? i remember he did it in Australia Decides, and I just really like those movies -- i hope they incorporate those unique moves into the song

like after the first chorus and right before the second verse when Michael comes in, I can imagine Z do that move as the verse kicks in -- i really hope they have some dynamic tv angles, it would benefit the performance a lot

Such a shame that we haven't gotten more time with Electric Fields and in particular Zaachariaha in the run up to the contest. The magnetism, wit, humour and positivity in this interview is just beautiful!

I know Eurovision isn't a personality contest, but these guys would be leading the odds if it was for sure. I'll be cheering them on tomorrow definitely xlove

Australia feels extremely borderline to me.

I feel like it's waiting in the wings to nab a spot from Serbia or Cyprus.

Still feel like it'll end up in 11th or 12th but I wouldn't be shocked at a qualification at this point.

Yeah, I think Australia, Serbia and Cyprus are the three that are fighting it out for that final qualification spot sadly (as I'd love both Australia and Cyprus in - Serbia has always been a flat, over-hyped fan fave for me).

Very cool song, the staging... ouch. I think I get it, the choreographer worked a lot in theatres, that's where the movement comes from. This is the closest we have to a Disney song though this year though.

Australia staging is usually decent. Was there a budgetary reason for this year's underwhelming staging?
