I wanna be close to my mother
I wanna belong to the world
A mirror that shows technicolor
I'd be a magnificent girl

But everything is frustrating
Everything moves along
Faster than I can relate to

But I got power, yeah
Midnight is the hour, yeah
Time to take off your cloaks

Techni-technicolour
Techni-technicolour
If we stand together
We can do whatever
Techni-technicolour
Techni-technicolour
If we care for one another
We can

I wanna know that there's a future
That I can move myself towards
And yet I promise you
Yes all you nasty dudes
I don't need certainty
To get my pot of gold

Everything is frustrating
Everything moves along
Faster than I can relate to

But we got grace, yeah
We got style and lasers, yeah
Time to take off your cloaks

Techni-technicolour
Techni-technicolour
If we stand together
We can do whatever
Techni-technicolour
Techni-technicolour
If we care for one another
We can

This is winning y'all
I really feel big winner vibes.

You're either annoyed or in love and polarizing songs always got top placements.

I feel like i'm the only one in the room thinking this could win, it probably means it won't lmao but it's unusual and catchy enough to be memorable at worst.
You have one job Montaigne : Nail this fcking staging and not with a clown costume.

It will struggle to qualify with everyone's bops already around in the SF1...

I have "only" 8 sure qualifiers in SF1 (and Australia being counted in)
So let's say they struggle, I see them having one of the two left spots.

Australia's odds. This year they're barely in striking distance taking them into considerationxrofl

I think they'll have to give "Technicolour" a really modern production to distinguish themselves from other funny/poppy entries this year such as Moldova, San Marino, Serbia, Latvia... I can see Australia do quite well then, but if not, I think they might actually not qualify xthink

I really really like this song and would give it a 10 when her voice wouldn't be bad live. It was last year so and this year again. That's why I had to downgrade it to 7. I lost my hope that she will nail her vocals live.

I think her voice might be a case of preference really. In the live, at least in my ears, she's hitting all the notes. Only when she sings "eeeeeeverything", "faaaaaaster", sounds jarring to me

Tumblr, mostly.
I think her voice is fine until like... the very end of the performance. That needs some work, but it's far from unsalvagable.

It certainly would be a pity if Aus NQ with the ONLY entry of theirs that i've loved preshow :-/

She reminds me of 2013 Miley Cyrus too much.

But I enjoyed her life performance of the song. Definitetly an upgrade from last year for me.

This is definitely one of my biggest growers. I love the originality and her gimmicks (in the studio version). My biggest concern is how she will handle to perform it live. 8 points.

Judging from the songs in semi 1 & her unstable vocals, I really don't think it will qualify, even with a good staging. The song is not special enough to stand out from other bops and I don't believe they will have another magnificent staging like Zero Gravity had.

Based on how I've rated newer entries, I'm going to downgrade this to :2: points. It's one of the songs that I always skip on my ESC playlist. So much about it irritates me, but it's her vocal style that I find particularly unpleasant. This "indie yodel" sound makes the pitching extremely inaccurate to my ears, and I had the same problem with Don't Break Me last year.

Even though I find the melody childish, it sticks in my head (unfortunately), and her styling is kinda cool so that prevents me from giving zero points.

There's some pretty good camerawork in the official video imo, and they're absolutely capable of delivering good and quick camerawork in Rotterdam, which will lift it. I think they'll have to deliver a modern and expensive to distinguish themselves from similar and quirky entries such as Moldova, San Marino, Serbia, etc. xthink

For me the song is very special though. I mean who else goes from low tones to such stratospheric heights throughout one track? Also it is not a typical pop song at all. Those melismas (I think those are they she does are super cool and catchy too.

I really like her and the song (it's on my 13th position), but I'm 90 % sure this won't qualify.. just don't see the appeal for it.. not to mention they don't have UK in the semi.

A single country won't matter that much, and the UK don't shower them with points every year either. It will qualify, let alone do well, if it's executed and performed well I guess xthink

Now that all songs have been released (except Belarus, but I doubt I will like the artist's song to make a huge change).
I am re-evaluating all songs as per studio form and re-looking into my grading system and how I have ranked the songs according to my personal preference.

The song also grew on me abit, also in my personal top 20 (at no. 16).
Upgrading the rating to a :6:.
