not a bad revamp, but i think it'll have a bit of a struggle qualifying, especially from semi 1.

No way
even "Fairytail" was easier on the ear than this ...... This is just LOUD and MESSY.
I preferred BOTE

Still entitled as this. :(
She didn't even translate the title of the song into English.

Fairytale was so bland it wasn't even a song. A revamp disaster. This keeps most of the best parts of the song intact, while making it more palatable at ESC. I too preferred Bote, but I'm happy with this result.

I prefer the fully Albanian version with the orchestral arrangement instead of the Metallica meets Dramatic Ballad arrangement.

I think this was far better in albanian.
I´m not really feeling it right now, but I´m sure the live version will be incredible and still deserves a spot in the final.

Hmm...hard to judge this remake. It is absolutely not a "Fairytale"-disaster...but it ain't a good remake like "Carry Me In Your Dreams"...
It sounds very Albanian, strong rockish melody, high notes, almost screaming, but still with a good singer which makes it listenable and the feeling of desperation, which Albania is experts in making in my opinion. It's not bad, I would not rule out Albania yet from this year, even if the first semi is a really strong semi in my opinion.

Not sure what I think of this revamp. It certainly doesn't do any harm per se, but...ech. Victim of my high expectations. I was just hoping I could start to full-on LOVE the song after the revamp, and it hasn't moved the needle much for me really. Still 7 for now. Maybe I'll get more on board in time.

I love the video though :D

I loved it. Now this a nice revamp and not that disaster from last year (although i never really cared about it to begin with). Definitely at my personal top 10!

For me the revamp didn't make a single difference, I will keep my 7 :) I agree that it sounds heavy but did it not do that at the beginning?

I sincerely like this revamp and also the video.
It gained a couple of points from me compared to the previous version.

She should've kept it in Albanian. How it stands Portugal has the only non-English song in semi final 1, I think it would help her chances if she at least sang part of it in Albanian. In my opinion the song has more of an impact when in Albanian. The song isn't hopeless like it was with Eneda. Lindita is beautiful, has a strong voice and had a decent song (when compared to the rest of the field) and it was in her native language. I think her chances were stronger than given credit for before. We will see I guess.

Re: ALBANIA 2017 - Lindita Halimi - Botë

Although it didn't need it, I was kind of expecting more to change. It's a very friendly revamp at least to fans of the original version. I prefer "Botë" but this revamp hasn't upset me. It just hasn't made me go wow like I was somehow expecting. I imagined this was going to get a huge reworking but they've just added heavier guitars to the chorus and taken some of the strings away, which actually only strengthens their appearance during the bridge and final chorus. The percussion is a bit louder as well. The English lyrics are fine. I for sure prefer to hear the beautiful and interesting Albanian language but Lindita's English is basically perfect. I don't understand the comments about her English. She pronounces "world" with an accent but besides thatxshrug This is for sure the entry with the most raw power this year, and hopefully it will benefit from being the only rock inspired song in the semi finals. It's going to be incredible live. With the correct staging and atmosphere I think top 10 is possible.
