She looks tired. I think she's under a lot of pressure.

A week ago everybody was hyping Israel, now most of them are leaving "the sinking ship".
The song hasnt change at all, staging or nor staging.....
What i have seen last night is very similar to the videoclip so i have not changed my mind
( i have not hyped this song at all ). It is a fresh-cheesy-synth-pop-dance song taylored for Esc
and performed with a typical Esc-style, excessivly and overloaded.
So nobody of you noted these elements before????
They were so obvious.

Like I said in another thread, I think people have put her on a too high pedestal and expect more from her than others, but if you really think about it, she nailed it! This song is very difficult to pull off live with the vocal stunts and long powerful tones, I think if you expect her to be like in the video then it's delusional, that's almost impossible to do yet she made a very good performance considering the difficulty of this song. I don't get the criticism to be honest. We have less energetic songs that are much easier to do without all these effects, yet worse live performances and vocals and I don't see people complaining about those xshrug

I know it is not a popular opinion, but I personally see Netta`s song as a collective IQ test for Europeans. The lower it drops the higher is my opinion of us - Europeans.

People here say that Netta is an amazing, very talented singer ... maybe, but it surely does not show with this performance. She is all over the place. Maybe its her nerves, maybe its the staging that puts her off, but vocally she is average at best. At this point this is just hysteric screaming, generic lyrics and idiotic chicken dance for 3 minutes - time that I will surely use for a toilet break during the final.

C`moon Europeans we are better than this, spend your precious votes on some other song, please!

I really don't get why this fell with the bookies, it's one of the most (if not THE most) difficult songs to pull off live out of the entries this year, yet Netta nailed it and the performance was great, all energy and attitude from the get-go and vocals on top. I really don't get it tbh, the fact that it's under that Rybak crap in the odds now is beyond me but ok xshrug I think they did an amazing job with this !!!

Couldn't agree more! It is only behind Cyprus in youtube views (yes this is not an accurate preview of the televote but that's the only thing we have atm) and WAY AHEAD of all the others. I've had doubts about this all week long until last night. My friends that I played the song to before the show who said that they were not very fond of it then LOVED it on stage. I actually see this going well with the juries as well now, it's too unique and immediate to rate down. This could be the most intense voting EVER (since 2003)!! xheat

I completely disagree, she did great live with a song that is difficult to do live in the first place, I think you simply don't "get" the song (based on the comment here), it's not about IQ (that was a very disrespectful comment btw).

So in your noble opinion, what entries are "worthy" and proof of "higher IQ" if you support them? xshrug

You know that allowing yourself to have fun and think outside the box is not a sign of low IQ right? I'd say it's rather a sign of low EQ to not allow yourself that and look down at people who can just let go.

Do you really want me to point out the moments where she sounded off??? And how is "difficult song" an excuse for her not being able to deliver? Maybe next time she should choose something more equal to her capabilities then?

FRA, CYP and probably few more (I have not seen all the entries).

I like both of those, but you will find a lot of people arguing CYP is "trash" though

Maybe you watched another performance, I think she did good. Well, excuse not, but it should be taken into account at least when judging a live performance. People can't expect it to be like in video version, especially if the studio version relies alot on different effects etc.

Pretentious and unnecessary comment.
So you think you've got an higher IQ because you do not like this?

This is way more popular on YouTube and Apple Music than on iTunes. It seems people listen to it because the weirdness of the song is amusing but they don't want to pay for it.

The "random" audience camera shots ruined the credibility of the staging. They also didn't focus long enough on each angle, giving a confusing shattered impression. I can imagine there's some kind of idea behind, but it didn't succeed. They have lost all the moments where she nails the beat, which was the utterly amazing aspects I fell for when I saw it the first time. I think she lost the soul of the song when she lost the looper. With the current staging she will not win.

No, but I still have a right for an opinion ... even if you don`t like that.

Your opinion stated that people liking the song has low IQ though, which is basically calling lots of people (also on this forum) stupid for not sharing your musical taste xshrug

#metoo triggering is strong with this song and pretty revealing - isn't maybe but could be at least - which in any case really says a lot - beware
