I kind of get your point of view Lak (despite the flaws in the argument). The problem that I have is that this is supposed to be a song contest. Therefore, if you're going to even attempt to justify a clain of plagiarism, you will need to ensure that you are approaching it from a completely informed and technical stance - not just a "hey, this has a similar beat and synth to last year's winner, so it's clearly a copy".
Accusations like this do nothing but maliciously damage a song's reputation, and especially when they are unfounded you have essentially skewed the viewing audiences opinion before hearing a note, putting the song at an unfair disadvantage. If I had the desire, I'm pretty sure I could've searched far and wide to find a song from the past that was a carbon copy of Only Teardrops or any other song in the contest. Please think twice and get all of your facts right before joining in with the hate campaign in the future.
The problem was, that the media needed some sort of scandal for this Eurovision, and it turned out that Cascada would be perfect for that. Did anyone care that Denmark 2011 was a carbon copy of 'Sing for Me' back in 2006? Did anyone care that Denmark 2012's chorus was very similar to Seal's 'Crazy'? No. Because people couldn't care less about no-name artists, but when a big name international artist like Cascada *allegedly* plagiarizes, it's all 'OMG What a fake!'
What make this even better is that, the many members of Denmark's fanbase, who were probably intimidated by Cascada stealing their victory, then continued to spread this around like STDs.
They basically kicked Cascada in the knees before they let her out of the starting gate.
