Mikolas Josef with “Lie to Me” has been revealed as the winner of the international jury vote in Eurovision Song CZ, the online Czech national final.

In a live stream that was hosted this evening by Libor Boucek, the Czech Republic’s commentator on the contest and previously the host of Eurovision Young Dancers, the young performer was confirmed as the jury vote victor with 68 points.

The international jury for the Czech final consisted of a star-studded line-up of previous performers at the contest, with the following artists passing judgement on the songs;

  • Dami Im (Australia 2016)
  • Robin Bengtsson (Sweden 2017)
  • Naviband (Belarus 2017)
  • Sunstroke Project (Moldova 2010 & 2017)
  • Sanja Vučić (Serbia 2016)
  • Jalisse (Italy 1997)
  • Iveta Mukuchyan (Armenia 2016)
  • Nathan Trent (Austria 2017)
  • Norma John (Finland 2017)
  • Liora Simon (Israel 1995)

The winner of the Czech national final and therefore the Czech Republic’s representative in Eurovision 2018 will now be announced on Tuesday 30th January following the culmination of the public and app voting in the competition.

The other five participants in the Czech final are Eva, DOCTOR VICTOR, Eddie Stoilow, Debbie and Pavel Callta.
