Actually I remember wondering why you didn't give it a lot of points at the time. :p

I absolutely adore it still, and actually considered having them again in this NF, but decided to go with mostly new ones again.

This NF will probably end tonight or tomorrow at some point...when I feel like really. I won't say no to last-minute voters.

Initially planned to do the results later tonight but something came across that made me unable to do so. :p

Therefore; results in a few minutes.

Re: Zoidiac - NF-results

That means we have a winner!

Canadian folk-rock band Les Cowboys Fringants will represent us in Ugaly with a beautiful, melancholic, french ballad that'll hopefully get to some of you. It's a little different from our typical entries, but then again, I love sending different songs from time to time and this time I'll hopefully contribute with that:

Thank you Simon. :D

Aw I was kinda hoping Twin Atlantic would in, because I was at a gig of their's on Monday night :D

Oh awesome, hope you enjoyed it.
I've actually come to regret not sending them for the country-randomiser-spin-off that you hosted as it's one of the best scottish bands out there right now imo (only Glasvegas is better)

Also expected them to do better here, but oddly they didn't.
Capital Cities also won my recently cancelled NF (when I decided to go with M83 instead) by a landslide, but did kinda bad this time. Weird stuff.

Yeah, they were really good. I didnt even expect them to be there, I missed their name when looking at the events programme, so that made it all the more better :)
And yeah, Scotland (especially my adopted hometown of Glasgow) has an awesome indie/alternative scene right now.
Capital Cities :( I really liked them in your NF and would have gotten high points from me had I voted :(

The record is broken. :lol::eek:
Ah well, we both knew it would happen at some point. :p

Anyway, I have my NSC 74-entry lined up already and I'm pretty sure you'll like it. :)

For your enjoyment, here's a parody of the song from the group Rock et Belles Oreilles made in 2008. (RBO was the most popular humoristic group in the 80's-90's. They made a hugely successful comeback some years ago. :D)

Translation:

We are a youth's group that are doing songs
With lyrics talking about claim
We wear poor clothes and old pants
We have an ugly girl who plays violin

We make 5th grade poetry
We talk about liberty and... liberty
Our songs often sounds like old Paul Piché
Or Beau Dommage in fast-forward

There's no difference between our verses and choruses
But when we make CDs, we sell them at tons
It pisses old singers that sell much less
Charlebois and Leloup understand nothing.

Nothing... nothing... nothing...

Yay, glad most of you seem to like it.
Have no expectations of qualification this time though, but I hope I might be able to pull a Noizeland and qualify unexpectedly. :p

Haha hilaaarious parody. Seems like a band that divides the Canadians . Had no idea they were that popular, nor was I aware of the 5th-grade poetry in the lyrics.
