No, I was born and raised in Hamburg

Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany and the sixth largest city in the European Union. The city is home to over 1.8 million people. The city is a major tourist destination for both domestic and overseas visitors; Hamburg ranked 17th in the world for livability in 2012, and, in 2010, the city ranked 10th in the world. Hamburg is still Germany's musical metropolis number one! With New York and London, Hamburg is the third biggest musical metropolis worldwide.

HafenCity Hamburg is a project of city-planning where the old port warehouses of Hamburg are being replaced with offices, hotels, shops, official buildings, and residential areas. The project is the largest rebuilding project in Europe in scope of landmass (approximately 2,2 km²)​

The Reeperbahn is a street in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, one of the two centres of Hamburg's nightlife and also the city's red-light district. In German it is also called die sündige Meile (the sinful mile).​

Famously John Lennon is quoted: "I might have been born in Liverpool - but I grew up in Hamburg".

In the early 1960s, The Beatles (who had not yet become world-famous) played in several clubs around the Reeperbahn, including the Star-Club, Kaiserkeller, Top Ten and Indra.

In memory of this time a Beatles-Platz was built at the cross of Reeperbahn and Große Freiheit[/I]​

Not sure if I should post here, since most people consider my hometown as one of the ugliest in the whole country Ok then, a few pics of my hometown - Ústí nad Labem (or Aussig in German )

I like Ústí nad Labem. Post-industrial towns may not be the prettiest, but they're very inspiring IMO, and that bridge is beautiful. And the houses too!

Now let me share pictures I took of Brussels last September! Brussels too is often derided as being ugly, which is not entirely incorrect if you look at some corners of the city... But still, I love it .

This is the Place de la Bourse / Beursplein. The heart of the city, where people usually meet before they go out in the many restaurants, cafés and nightclubs in the vicinity. It's right next to the Grand'Place.

There's a parking lot right in the centre of Brussels, called Parking 58 (built for the World Ebition of that year). It's quite high and it gives a great view of the whole city surrounding it. You can see here the Grand'Place Town Hall (the tower), Palais de Justice, the Royal Palace, and the Atomium among others.

This is Place Sainte-Catherine where all the seafood restaurants are. In the winter, this is where the Christmas Market takes place.

Place Saint-Géry is a great place to hang out, with bars all around an old warehouse transformed into a very hype café and ebition space.

Wow! Everything is looking so inviting and comfortable...a picture is worth a thousand words...my wife told me about these places to see. And I see so beautiful. Jumps real hard to get closer to it. Love all of these!!!
